Not sure if there's any reason to panic or overreact.

We lost game 1 on the road to the best team in baseball. One error gave up 2 runs. End of story. Let's get ready for game 2.

It means pitcher won’t challenge or give Correa a decent pitch because they see next batter as easier out.

Thanks. But wouldn’t that be contingent on how many base runners are on by the time Correa is AB? If they gave Correa a decent pitch, he could slug it for a HR or RBI. Why would this strategy be “better” for a team to employ just to get to a lesser hitter after Correa?

Games, not in runs. IMO if we want a legit chance to win it all, we HAVE to win tomorrow.

Turns out the temperature was the same when the Astros were batting too.

I interpret that statement differently. All I read is Hinch saying "You'd be amazed how quickly George can get out of this funk. One hit and he can be on a hot streak."

Our hitters looked scared. Hopefully that turns around.

Relax my dudes. We're all just venting right now. Shooting the sh*t after a tough loss. No need to get hostile on a message board.

I'll tell you what's a real stupid, dumb, crazy idea; Hinch sticking with Springer at lead off cause of "My man!" syndrome. Only it will be too late after the World Series to admit he was wrong.

Personally I was/am more afraid of yankees. I’m not upset. Just unlucky tonight with a couple pitches. Bats were dead but I wasn’t upset with the players demeanor. We want to win. I think the dodgers are less scarier than yanks offense. Just my opinion. I think we take next four.

We had the same damn air. But for some reason some muffin head keeps forgetting to pack the bats on the team plane. Bregman must have borrowed someone's tonight. Everyone else was using the same pool noodle they used in Yankee stadium

Well sure, it all depends on what’s happening in front of Correa. But, when you have a hitter like Springer, who has looked absolutely terrible since the Divison series, “protecting” Correa in the lineup then I think most pitchers would try to pitch Correa on extreme of strike zone margins if there is less than two on and one out, and take chance that Springer gets them an out or two outs with DP.

But yes, it’s all dependent on what situation Correa finds himself in when he steps up to plate. But, it’s fair to say that this version of Springer offers less protection to Correa than Gurriel.

Bigger problem is that after Gurriel there really hasn’t been anyone else that’s been good in bottom half of lineup. So, Astros use to have no weak links in lineup but now it seems like half of lineup is blah.

All fine and good but doesn't change the fact that the pitch on a 1-2 count was a massive mental error. This is the World Series, gonna need to be physically and mentally sharp just to give yourself a chance. Dallas goofed and paid a massive price.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining. And yes the Astros need to become the offensive base hitting machine they have been over the course of the season. I would like to see them catch a little fire of consistently running off a string of singles ala what the Royals did to them in 2015.

    This.

I said this earlier tonight the Dodgers don't look as scary as the mini murderers' row Yankees.
