    I'm glad you're not the manager. Because if you did that, and we lost today and game 6, you'd be fired for getting eliminated before you gave Verlander a chance to start a 2nd game.

    Yep, cant go down with bullets still in the chamber. Need to make sure that any potential losing scenario exhausts all your resources.

    Losing without even giving your best players a chance is unacceptable

    Also, if Keuchel goes today and the Astros split the next two, it's not impossible he pitches a couple innings of relief in Game 7 on 2 days rest if absolutely necessary. I'd certainly take that over most of the bullpen at this point.

    Venting/therapy alert: I am still absolutely devastated by last night's loss, not just the loss itself, but how we lost. I've seen this story too many times before, and I just don't feel like we can win this series anymore. My Lord I hope I am dead wrong, but my instincts say otherwise. This is the best team we've ever had, and probably the easiest route to the World Series we will ever get. If we don't come through this time, how can we ever?

    I'm going to modify the advice Wizard gave to Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver: "A man invests in a team, he becomes the team, it becomes who he is." I love the Houston Astros, I AM the Houston Astros. I want to experience that enjoyment of seeing your baseball team win the World Series. I don't know what can hurt a guy more than unfulfilled wishes...

    I am not going to watch this game. I just cant. Its too hard on the nerves and after last night I cant take it if they lose again. I'm going to go out with this hot babe I'm trying to get instead. I like my odds scoring there better than the Astros anyway
