first game of the season vs the champs on ceremony night. they won, and warriors are winless this season. perfect.
Yea it's just the shot selection mainly. Gotta take it to the rack or drive and kick. But he did make up for it the next possession on defense.
Harden's shot was better than the crap Curry threw up. And the turnover Curry threw the possession before that.
I'm one of the biggest Harden lovers on this entire board. There's a time to be critical. This was the first game of the year... October basketball. Virtually meaningless. Address the mistakes and build on them. Yes, I agree, Harden had a fantastic closeout on Durant. Not taking that or the rest of his fantastic play away from him. But don't be surprised when Hero-Ball costs us a couple this year....
Harden's playmaking down the stretch was pretty damn good. No turnovers and kept the offense humming. This is not the game or time for this thread. Just wow. He took a 3 so what? just a couple of plays before that he created a open look for tucker and had a drive and score on Curry. He was extracting pretty much every points we had down the stretch.Harden was great tonight.
you have a right to make this criticism. it's warranted but i wouldn't also necessarily expect this to be a thing going forward. who knows what happens if CPGod is healthy and presumably on the floor those last 2 min. i'd be worried if the trend continues then, which i don't expect it to, or at least hope not. just enjoy the win, you good bro. we're lit tonight!
Harden makes most of those shots. What I am more concerned about is we still need a Draymond Green stopper. If the guy isn't beating you on defence, he is an under rated passer as well... we still need weapons!
Harden was freaking Kobe tonight, except better. If he makes the last shot, you'd not have this post -- you're making a thread for a single shot selection. Man, Kobe was lucky to have loyal fans. Flashback to 2015 WCF G2 Q4, 9 seconds left after a defensive rebound. If Harden would've just done an ISO there, I'd much prefer that than anything else. He should've gotten a shot off. And from that moment on, I never regretted him taking the last shot.
Agreed. Had Green stayed in the game and not injure his knee, we probably wouldn't have won. That comeback shows how important Draymond is to that team. Ryno, Luc or Tucker wont cut it.
Def caught this too. Harden should be recognized for actually making a defensive effort to seal the win. He also gave up a fair amount of them earlier in the game (nick young tends to roast him a little bit huh?) and I'm very critical of his ignorance playing off-ball defense, but props to him for carrying offensively and even contributing in small pockets on d.
That was a terrible play but he played at an MVP level tonight with only 2 TOs while dropping 27/10/6. Against any other team, we probably would've blown them out.
Not with that shooting tonight....we should be lucky that the bench went hot. 3 pt shooting: 15-41 attempted while the GSW made 16 out of 30. GSW attempted less and made more. We made more 2s than GSW. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly. And we had some good slam dunks this game.
