I wouldn't blame Lance one bit if he was absolutely going off in the locker room

At this point I’ll believe it when I see it. I trust Keuchel but we managed 3 hits tonite. Just seen it go one way for so long it’s hard for me to expect something different.

They damn sure didn't help...you can believe that. Not the reason we lost though.

    I agree.

Personally though, I'm done expecting the bats to show up. It's been 4 games now, maybe this is who we are this series and will need two big games from our aces to win...and for Hinch not to panic because Judge hit a solo-HR.

you are definitely biased. Houston isnt special or unique when it comes to teams losing. only 1 out of 30 teams wins the fall classic every year.

If you think about it objectively, you can definitely see that houston isn't unique when it comes to losing heartbreakers

bills lost 4 super bowls in a row!

Either way, we are still going to win the series.

Ok, here's what I'm telling myself. The Pujols HR in game 5 ripped our hearts out far more than this loss does. And we came back that next game and wrapped up the series. We've got our 2 aces going the next 2 games. We can do this.

Hinch has been due to blow a game horribly.

Didn't say Houston was unique, and I am biased. Not clear on how what I said was wrong, though. ;)

Impressively, Houston can do it across multiple sports AND franchises! Astros, Rockets, Oilers, Texans. Heck, there are few teams that can even match the Rockets level of playoff futility, much less cities that can match the sum of all of them together.

I'd actually like to see someone try to do an objective ranking of sports cities like that. I wouldn't peg Houston for #1, but I don't think top 3 is out of the question.

I was thinking that. Why would I let myself be disappointed when the same ish happens over and over again? You can’t be disappointed unless you have an expectation. Why would I ever expect anything different? Like expecting a new song to play when I’ve set it to repeat.

Washington: 3 Super Bowl titles, 1 NBA championship
    Buffalo: Fair
Sacramento: 1-town team. Small sample size with one glaring heartbreak. Kings are a relatively new team in the market compared to peers.
    Cleveland: 1 NBA Championship
    Minneapolis: 2 World Series championships
Detroit: 11 Stanley Cups, 4 World Series, 3 NBA Championships
Phoenix: 1 World Series, Cardinals and Coyotes are relatively new teams in the market compared to peers.
    Indianapolis: 1 Super Bowl title
Memphis: 1 team, not a lot of history

I think it's fair to say that Houston is more tortured than 7 of the 9 markets you named. Neither of our football teams has even appeared in a Super Bowl.

Bad defensive plays tonight. Shouldn’t have pulled lance. Gurriel getting caught in that run down was a dumb Yankee move. Not pinch running for McCann after that error was dumb. I personally thought this was a must win game and if you “have” to take lance out, I’m going with one of my ace starters, not a shitty utterly inconsistent sack of **** bullpen. This hurts. Also why are these games starting so f’ing early?!

The offense is mentally beaten. The whole team is sucking outside of keuchel, verlander, mccullers, and gurriel

And yet there are only 4 teams that have never won one. Us and the Rangers are the oldest of that bunch. Not asking to win every year. But once in 55 years isn’t asking for a lot.

It certainly sucks blowing a four run lead.

That said it's a three game series and we have DK and JV going next and two of the three games are in Houston.

Tomorrow is another day but if this team is going to win a WS our bullpen is going to have to step it up.

Optimistic take: I said before Game 3 that the Astros only needed one road win in their next 3 games to be in good shape. They can still win tomorrow, then come back home with a series lead.
Pessimistic take: The Astros will blow Game 5 as well.

We need a slugger man that pitchers are afraid of like our guys are afraid of judge
