You guys think there was a second runner that was not altuve running? We'll never know only the russians and the us. government.

The ONLY questionable call Hinch has made with the lineup is starting Beltran both games at DH. McCann hasn't been hitting but he sure has been working well with the pitchers.

How many Altuve steps does it take to get from 1st to home in 10.27 seconds...

I'm thinking back on that look Altuve gave Kahnle as he was over-celebrating the strikeout, it was like "just wait punks, Ima get yall"

Cliff Floyd made a point. The cutoff guy wasn't calling/gesturing for a play to home.

Nobody thought Altuve was going. He should've been out by a mile.

Both cut off men were lined up for a throw to home. Judges throw was pretty awful in regards to game recognition.

He's been a ghost this alcs.

a great read. Though I'm a little disappointed that the technology that shows our pitchers the spin rate is a 'super high speed camera'. I was hoping it was that machine from clock work orange where it peel's back the subject's eye lids showing them gibson and steve carlton film.

Due to the fact that I seem to always jinx my team. I will not make any attempts to do so

Floyd also giving the Stanks third base coach hell for waving Gardner to third. That was a beautiful thing from Redick to Correa to Bregs, Flawless!

He deserves it. It was an incredibly stupid play with 2 outs.

I was thinking when Judge cut the ball off "Ok, we have 2nd and 3rd 1 out, all we need is a sac to win it" Then I see Altuve not stopping at third and I thought it was a foregone conclusion that he'd be tagged and I was ready to have a 1-man protest outside MMP to fire Pettis. Astros capitalized on the Yanks error.

The Astros rolled the dice and put the onus on the Yankees to make the play. Can't say I blamed them either given how hard runs were to come by these first two games. And even if Altuve does get tagged out, you still have Correa on 2nd with Marwin up to bat.

I suppose the safe play is to hold Altuve at third and hope for a Marwin single or deep fly ball to score the run, but I liked the aggressiveness.

But do you see the hypocrisy, sending Gardner to third with two outs that took an absolute perfect relay and tag to get him versus sending Altuve with one out that not even remotely close to a perfect relay would have still been out by several feet if only the catcher catches the ball. The only difference is the outcome. Yankees third base coach is a dumbass, Pettis is a ballsy genius!

Not sure what the hypocrisy is. It's one of the cardinal rules of baseball: you never, ever, ever make the 3rd out at 3rd base. The benefits of the extra 90 feet (which would only matter if there's a balk/WP/PB or error) are greatly outweighed by the risk. Any hit to the OF scores him from 2nd or 3rd.

Sending Altuve home with 1 out was risky but defensible. Sending Gardner to 3rd with 2 outs was stupid.
