Yes it does and you are only proving my point further. Opinions mean little. What matters is what can be done and will it actually accomplish anything.

The anti-gun crowd's first cry is to ban, regulate and more back ground check. They don't have the first clue on what they are banning and regulating and they are generally clueless on back ground checks. There is so much more to gun control and Americas gun culture than pointless bans and increase background checks.

They are banning device that can shoot a projectile at roughly 1000 m/s and Peirce through human flesh easily.

These devices aren't complicated. Most humans have a decent idea of how much damage firearms can produce.

The societal ramifications of having 300,000,000 million firearms in a country has been quite evident. We are a obvious case study of that being a very shitty idea.

First, what matters is recognizing that gun deaths in the US is unacceptably high, and having the will to seek out solutions to that problem. Doing nothing also accomplishes nothing. Second, to reiterate what you said, we should aim for solutions that have a decent chance of being effective.

My point is that being an expert on the mechanics of a gun does not in itself make you the most informed person on how to tackle the issue of gun violence. This is a complex problem, and we need input from people with different areas of expertise who are willing to listen and learn from eachother.
