One thing I loved about the Reddick catch at the wall is that he used his off hand this time to secure the catch. Learned from his last adventure. Adapted. Was not going to let that ball roll off his glove a second time and happen again, which was entirely possible as you watch his gloves flight path, but remained focused, and secured the catch. That's what this team does. Very impressed because that essentially Is a little league adjustment with professional commitment.

Thought another underappreciated moment was how calm Bregman was pulling in Correas cut off throw to apply the tag at third. He easily could have left the bag to get in front of the slightly off tilt throw and assure that it wasn't going to follow a jet stream into the dugout, but he was so self assured he kept one cleat in front of third to protect the base from the slide. And just reached over, snagged the laser and applied the tag with precision. Back and to the left. Back and to the left. Calm, cool, and collected. Like a pro. Didn't even break sweat.

I still can’t believe Correa ended up catching that pop fly that went off Bregman’s glove. When you see it in slow motion it just looked like 99/100 that would have been a drop by a bad ricochet off the glove.

Listening to andy furman on iheart.. they loved Robert Ford's radio call of the Altuve send. "It sounds like the kentucky derby. altuve crosses the finish line."
    I lol'd.

A Yankees fan pulled out this stat after this game. Himself included that a lot of Spankees fans before the series said this was an "easy" series for the Yankees. Some of them and non-Astros fans are pulling for Houston to take it all. #$% ESPN, they said Yankees blunder cost the game. What actually happen is hard, hustle play made that happen. If Altuve was called out at the last play, @#$#@#$@ ESPN would say Yankees make great plays. I pray we be the team to @#$@# the SI Jinx. All Rise for the Astros!!!

That was 100% on Judge. Infielders were setting up a cut off for home plate. Judge threw Didi to second base. That was just awful to me.

Didi also has to make a better throw in that situation. It's throw and catch.

Who on Earth would expect Altuve going home?? They actually could have gotten Correa out at 2nd if he was tagged when he popped off the bag and they got the ball home with Altuve 20+ feet from home.

Did Judge throw it to the guy with best IF arm who had plenty of time to throw out Altuve from second or to the cutoff man who with a weak arm might not be able to get it to the plate in time to get Altuve? May be exaggerating a little, but no way is getting ball closer to plate to a guy with a better arm a mistake.

This is why I'd rather blowout MFs. Leave no doubt.

That said, I will accept close victories.

I am still in shock from last night. As soon as Judge fielded it, I knew a good or even slightly bad throw to the plate would nail Altuve and that there was no way Pettis would stop him with Chapman on the mound. In my mind I was saying "screw up, screw up, screw up" from moment Judge fielded it and then Sanchez did.

Yeah knowing how Houston sports have been I didn’t feel confident that we would pull out the win but we did and now we need to take game 1 in NY. I hope Hinch makes a lineup change cause Beltran and McCann hasn’t given us much on offense. Now McCann is our best catcher so I think he will keep him in but Beltran need to be replaced with gattis or someone

We haven’t hit our run average and I think it’s cause the coach is going with the vets in the lineup if he sticks with this lineup we are going to be in trouble

Altuve went from 1st to home in 10.27 seconds (the fastest he's done all yr).

Astros were second in MLB during the yr with runners scoring from 1st on a hit (47). Second to the Rockies with 49.

That 1st to home time works out to a ~4.6 40, with 2 turns.

That play will live forever in Houston Sports lore. Eddie Johnson 3, Hakeem tip, Elie kiss of death, Sampson game winner, Watt INT return, Andre/Finnegan, Burke walk off....

I bet Pettis gambles his salary at the casino every year. Guy has giant nuts.

Still can't believe he sent Altuve and that the catcher missed handle the ball. Maybe fates on their side.

Hope they go to New York and b**** slap the Yanks around.

    Let's get out the brooms!!

Exactly, Sanchez is the one at fault and seems to be getting none of the blame. If Sanchez catches the ball Judge is praised for throwing the cutoff to the guy with the best arm.

It was shocking. But 49 out of 50 times, the runner is out in that situation. Hope Pettis doesn't go all windmill on us from now on.
