I think the reasons you don't run aggressively on the Astros are the same reasons you do run aggressively on the Yankees. You compare the relays, strong throws, and the way our guys receive the throws and apply tags versus how the Yankees just executed that relay. It makes running on the Astros more risky/stupid, and running on the Yankees less risky due to their propensity to f*** it all up.

I'm sorry I'm still in the clouds, GO STROS!!!!

I liked how correa getting into second seemed to slow didi's throw down by like half a second and seemed to hurt his ability to make a hard accurate throw

Impossible. How is Kate Upton going to fit a barbed wire bat costume over those boobs?

Verlander was so good today, he aroused me more than Kate Upton.

I think the foul up was Castro throwing to Gregorious at 2nd instead of throwing home. If he had, Sanchez could have dropped the throw, gone to the clubhouse to get a Wachamacalit and still have had enough time to come back, pick up the ball and tag Altuve out by a mile.

Yea...I think they were playing it normal but it was definitely not a normal situation to be in. One, you probably aren't expecting Altuve to run through third. Two, your relaying to the shortstop to make a play at second (what you would normally do). The problem is next run scored wins the game. They should not have even tried to get the runner out at second. Or, it was a positioning thing. Why is he even at second if the play is at home? Like the analysts are saying, the alignment was whack. Like you said, a lot of stuff went wrong. It happened so quick that there's no time to think versus act.

Am I missing something? Where do you guys see this relay happening? I feel like I see the throw from Judge going straight to Gregorious every time (i.e. every angle I see)

Edit: which is my point. Pettis had a long time to see Judge making a relatively weak throw that was going to come in on a hop because he wasn't throwing to a cut

Altuve has posted one hit-less game this postseason -- the rest, all multi-hit.

Hard to see in original shot, but on replays you can see throw went from Judge to Castro to Grgorious to Sanchez

I've pieced together multiple replays and I see the ball pass by Castro and bounce to Gregorious. Have you seen a replay that actually shows what you're describing? Would love to see where my eyes are playing tricks on me / what I'm not seeing

Holy **** I totally missed that. I thought Castro was the relay guy and went to 2nd. Nevermind.

Why didn't Castro cut it off and go home?

That slide by Correa was amazing, already see the difference between the two teams..we are faster, play better defense, outfielders and pitching so far it dominated by the stro's. I see Charlie pitching very similar and go at least 5 innings and we will get to CC. Take a commanding 3-0 lead. Game 3 Astros 7 Yankees 3
