Ridiculously biased- I mean, not one compliment to the Astros that wasn't back-handed:

    http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...y-lcs-games-astros-dodgers-protect-their-home

If the Yankees win: The Yankees will take home field back to the Bronx for three games. They would feel very good about their chances.

If the Astros win: The Astros would be in control of this series, but they wouldn't be able to feel too comfortable. The Yankees lost the first two games of the ALDS to the Indians, and we all know how that turned out.

The prediction: The Yankees will win this game because, for most of the season, Severino has been a better starter than Verlander. On top of that, the Yankees will have their full complement of bullpen arms with David Robertsonand Aroldis Chapman expected to be ready again. You add those two things together and the Yankees win.

It doesn't make sense to have the LA team play the early game. That rule supersedes any prime time bias. Not to mention that LA isn't exactly the worst baseball market either, I am pretty sure their ratings are some of the best in the mlb.

I actually thought this was a NYPost article.

Not sound logic used in here.

Verlander would be their number one if he was on the Yankees.

Makes perfect nespn sense: Yankees get a split = massive confidence. Astros go up 2-0 = gotta be worried

The two writers of the article are David Schoenfield and Andrew Marchand. Marchand writes for ESPNNewYork so that speaks for itself. David Schoenfield's twitter account says his favorite player is Yogi Berra, so pretty good chance he's a Yankees fan as well. Let's face it, Yankees fans think they are destined to win the world series every year, so in their minds, despite most the numbers favoring the Astros, they all think the Yankees will pull some magic out of their asses. Go on their forum and they think their starting pitchers are better than ours because Tanaka has strung together a couple good games in a row. This is even though if you line up 1-4 against each other, all 4 of our pitchers have a better ERA (Keuchel>Sev, Verlander>Tanaka, Peacock>Gray, Morton>Sabathia). The only advantage they have on us is in the bullpen.

They want to talk a lot of 'IFs' about the first game like, 'If Bird gets a better jump...', yet none of them mention that if Altuve doesn't botch that fairly easy double play, all of that is irrelevant.

That comeback over the Indians has Yankee nation more delusional than ever.

to be fair, that also fits the "womp womp, Houston sports!!" crowd

but yeah, terrible logic. I mean, saying full season stats and purposely ignoring than the last 2 months just because it fits your narrative? That's screams of "bad forum poster"...except they're nationally published

I personally don't care who's writing what, because the Astros play on the field will write itself.

    Schoenfield's a smart-baseball-talking-guy. He's been talking up the Stros for a while.

In Vegas, just placed a parlay 4. Astros to cover, Texans to cover, Texas to beat the spread, and Florida to cover the spread over Texas A&M. Lost last night on the Stros. Line was 1.5

Last night should have been safe for the Stros. Yankees albeit good are a bit overrated coming off that Indian series and the Astros have had success against Tanaka. Having Keuchel pitching made that a slam dunk. 9th inning two out bomb had to really hurt.

Um.... why would he be a Yankee fan if his favorite player is Yogi Berra? He's a former Astros coach.

Gibson only got 6 in his 5th game, so if he can get to 7 again, he'll be the 1st to do it in his first 5 postseason starts.

Anyone know why this thread is invisible? Who started the thread? I'm wondering if I blocked them at some point.

I mean of all of those the Astros winning by 2 probably would be second most likely to happen following the Aggies losing in the Swamp. Bad luck.

But I agree I never bet on hometown/my favorite teams.
