lol he hates me so im not exactly going to stick up for him hard but i've seen him say smart things every now and then here. It's just always a "grass is always greener on the other side" or some sort of other negative debbie downer perspective on things.

Sure. But everyone on here says smart things at times, and everybody on here has b****ed about players sucking. I just think there's an extreme place you don't go to- or if you do, then you be as hard on yourself as you are on the players.

Like, "yeah, I've been ragging on Keuchel all year. Well, I done ****ed up. I made a lot of stupid posts. Dallas proved me wrong."

i absolutely agree with you 100 percent on that lol

those dumb overly simplified definitive statements like his quote that you gave me about hinch are just ridiculous lol

human nature to always blame the authority figure in any situation no matter what lol. some posters take it to that ridiculous level. even still, there are a lot of posters here that swear hinch is the worst manager ever for some unexplained reason.

Ortiz yelled, "who's Carrera" and everyone on the left side was cracking up and joking while Thomas was still talking.

one of my friends went to the rockets preseason game tonight instead. she had to endure MMP traffic just for a rockets preseason game...yikes.
no doubt. and he did the same in the closeout boston game. unheralded plays of the game

Why is Gurriel not getting more press this offseason? He's batting .500 I think. He's been pretty clutch for our team. I understand he isn't one of the stars of the team. But he's been consistent as hell and a big part of our success thus far.

I'm so drunk and hoarse but man what a win. If this team is winning games with only scoring two runs then good luck to whoever the opponent is.

I'm telling you, I have no idea sometimes who is going to be the hero of any game. It's a weird feeling. Even Altuve, as great as he is, doesn't always get the clutch hit- I've seen Gurriel do it multiple times, and Reddick, and Springer, and Correa, and Gonzalez, and Bregman- heck, I've even seen Marisnick and Gattis come through multiple times. It's strange how I never worry if Altuve goes 0 for 4 b/c I know someone is going to step up.

But Gurriel is absolutely up there.

To be fair, I didn't know a lot of Cubs players until the WS. If they make it to the WS, and especially if they win it, they'll get recognized, believe me. I still remember Scott Brosius, Pablo Sandoval, Jacob Ellsbury, Javier Molina, Ben Zobrist, Juan Pierre, David Fries, etc.
