[Unofficial 2017 ALCS] New York Yankees vs. Houston Astros

I'm stressed out about this series as I would be any other postseason series, but I feel a hell of a lot better about it as a seven-game series. The larger the sample size, the more likely it is that the better team will win. And the Astros are clearly the superior team on paper. Tonight's big, though. The Yankees feel like they have momentum, and if the Astros can kill that momentum with a win, it could be a huge blow to their confidence.

Will be watching Keuchel's command, velocity on FB, and where he is missing in the 1st and 2nd inning. Hopefully he's on point and he can stunt the momentum of this Yankee team!

 

I think the whole "momentum" talk for the Yankees is getting rather annoying. Not saying they don't have momentum with them at all, they sure do after coming back from a 0-2 deficit. My issue is...what the heck were we doing this whole time? We destroyed the Red Sox in game one and two, and ended it in Boston in four. It's not as if we were having a nail biting series inning to inning.

Should be a great series. Hopefully our offense can jump on them early in multiple games, and keep their biggest chance of winning (their bullpen) out of the equation.

Been sick all week, but finally on the mend and getting super excited for the series to start.

If you believe that this city has a sports curse or whatever, the Astros have already passed the first round! You can't just apply that phrase and logic every time something bad happens. Only 1 team wins the World Series. And there will be blips and losses on that road for whoever it is. Let's hope it's us.

If the Astros lose this series, the primary reasons will clearly be Renfro's TD being called back and Barkley getting bear hugged. Not anything baseball related.
