I loved VII when I saw it in the theater by myself and again when I took my kids. It was amazing taking my kids to see Star Wars just like my dad took me 30+ years ago, especially for a nostalgic kind of guy like me. That being said, when I watched it again on HBO, I paid more attention and caught all the flaws, etc. I, too, am worried about VIII. Of course I will go see it...how can I not? I hope that's not all the franchise is counting on - ticket sales. Still don't understand why Kylo took his mask off! It literally ruined the entire movie! What were they thinking???
Maybe cross between a guinea pig and a penguin. Penguins are so hot right now. ... and the Space Nuns
I like that photo in the EW link (7/14, I think it was); looks like Rey waiting for Luke as he steps out of the crapper: "Have you been waiting there the whole time? Or do you have to go, too?"
Space Penguins? Sign me up! BTW, not every creature is the "Ewoks" or "Jar Jar." Creatures can be cool and not annoying. Creatures are part of the fun.
“Last Jedi” Director Says Avoid The New Trailer By Garth FranklinMonday, October 9th 2017 11:09 am Hours ahead of the release of the second trailer for Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” the filmmaker has taken to social media to make a somewhat unprecedented request – don’t watch it. More specificaly he says the trailer is very well put together, but he advises that those who want to go into the movie blind and not be spoiled should just wait the next two months out until the film’s release. Johnson says in his tweet: “I a legitimately torn. If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid it. But it’s gooooood.” The use of the term ‘absolutely avoid it’ has led to speculation the new trailer spoils something major. The new trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to drop during Monday Night Football this evening on Disney’s sports channel ESPN. The film opens December 15th. Hollywood has gotten so bad about spoiling movies in their trailers that they're going out of their way to say that they're going to spoil the movie in their trailers. Don't watch tonight
