James Harden on Kevin McHale: "He's a clown. He never taught me anything"

It was absolutely mean spirited. Maybe he didn't intend for it to sound that way, but it absolutely was.

This is like the 9th snide Harden common that McHale has made publicly on TNT/NBATV/etc. Dude has been asking for this for a long time. He's made no secret of his feelings towards Harden.

 

I always felt that McHale enjoyed the art of gallivanting around as though he was the next coming of Phil Jackson. His ego was writing checks his body couldn't cash, though. Guy clearly did not have a clue about how to get his players on the same page, or turn any corners, he certainly didn't know how to draw up a play to save his life. Yet, he probably thinks he still deserves his job here and that we're all just a bunch sheep who don't pay any attention.

Of course, his ego was so hurt by it he feels the need to pull a trump card and go on tv to bash his former all-star as if to say "hey guys, look at me! I'm still relevant!!". Yeah, I'm not buying any of that horse **** either McFail.

 

I think the media environment had made him feel comfortable bashing Harden.

Will be interesting to see how he responds for sure.

I never understood the details of the whole Dwight/Harden/Mchale thing. Obv Mchale and harden didn't get along, we can see that. But did Dwight butt heads with Mchale too? Did Dwight and harden bump heads as well. Sounds disfunctiol as balls t***

McHale got lucky with that Josh Smith heroics game 6. He was badly exposed that entire playoff run, and the year prior, we shouldn't have lost to Portland. He was just a straight up **** coach, he was hired for a rebuild. Not to compete.

I get it, he's bitter. But he isn't wrong. He just needs to shutup, he has no future in coaching and was a horrible GM and coach. Like legendary bad. Harden shouldnt have responded, Milk Hair ain't even relevant.

 

Dwight wanted more touches and we he didn't get them he pouted and would mentally check out of the game. I don't necessarily blame that on McHale because Dwight was pretty much garbage in the post but I think their relationship was a rocky one towards the end.

 

So Dwight and Mchale were allies? Or it was Dwight vs Mike hail vs harden battle royale

 

More like Dwight vs. Morey, and Harden vs McHale.

Morey straight up told Dwert to his face....we don't want to give you the ball. Dwert got mad and said cause you never played, you don't know what you're doing.

Think of it like couples fighting, not a threesome

Both McHale and Harden come out looking bad in this although McHale looks worse.

 

I don't think they had beef. Just didn't communicate. More cold shoulder than back and forth talk.

Kind of like on tinder, y'all both match and are on the same team. But no one starts the convo. Just a weird cold feeling, real icy.

McHale was right though, and Harden doesn't like it....
