I know she does, but she found her angle. I'm not of the opinion that the NYT has any particular liberal agenda that high on their priority list. When they supporting Jr's Iraq war and even publishing later debunked crap in order to support it, that should show they have many other biases that come long before a liberal bias. All news agencies have many priorities that come before political agenda. That's even true of Fox News. It may have even been a situation where they were happy to push that angle to show how they will report on an all stories even if it goes against the popular notion that they liberally biased in their reporting. As a liberal, I've never really considered the NYT a liberal paper. They are a well-respected paper. I generally respect them, and even this article was fine. She was just laying it on a little thick with the "liberal lion" bit. And it served more purposes in her writing than just demonize the left. I don't really think that's what she was doing. I think it was more an effort to show how many obstacles women can face from all sorts of power-holders. But even to illustrate that she was a little heavy-handed in her technique. I found it humorous more than offensive.
But anyway, plenty of liberals and plenty of conservatives and plenty of all kindsa guys are creeps. Sigh. Very glad sometimes that I have no daughters to worry about.
They don't abuse women because they have to, they do it because they want to. They love the power. Non-abusers/rapists always think that it is about the sex yet every study has shown it to be about power.
