You had many avenues to watch the game, it sucks to go through hoops, and I'm sorry, but it was there if you wanted it.
Like in the theatre, when the one or two stars get called back out on stage from behind the curtain ....that's the baseball equivalent, it just means that the crowd stands and applauds until the other guys in the dugout make the guy who just did something great go back out and tip his hat to the crowd.
What's the deal with Beltran? Is he hurt, worn down, in a slump??? Can we expect anything from him in our postseason run?
Great game to attend. Parking was a joke, $60, $50 & $40 spots. Gametime right in the middle of worktime. So much for making it easy on the fans. Safety was in play. They had a gating system I've never seen before. Making sure nobody gets close with vehicles. Brought cashews, Peanut M&Ms, some pretzels and 2 bottles of cold water. Didn't spend a dime at the game. Didn't want to leave my seat! I have a man crush for Altuve. Been to a lot of playoff games but this was one of the best ever except for the guy next to me. He was huge and was pushing against me all game. 3 Homers by Altuve! Did you guys see that?! ; ) I love hometown playoffs baseball. Ate a Monte Cristo at Cheddars on the way home and sex with the wife. One of the best days ever!
Grade A national sports commentary.... If Sale pitches like this, Sox might not make the World Series Awesome, profound, and knowledgeable
Umm Beltran has been in a "slump" practically all year. It's not so much a slump as it is Father Time finally catching up to him. He'll likely get some at bats against Right handed pitchers. Let's hope when he's does he still has some October magic left in the tank!
One of the GOAT playoffs games for HOU, any sport. The offense repped like regular season -- road regular !!!. Batter's eye (A+) Pitching was good overall. Verlander (3.00 ERA) was a tad below par by ace standard (B-), but the bull mostly did their thing (B+). There are more options if Harris can't hang. His ranking is near, but above, Gregerson on the bull chart. We're deep. Defense played well. Reddick had a nice throw to 3rd, no PB/SB (I think), Springer nice catch, no f*** ups in general (A-). Keep doing it, playas !!! Get this championship/dynasty. We good.
i had never watched the mlb network before. They broke down the game for 1 hour and I watched every single second. it was fun. They made me aware biggio only had 2 homers in his whole post season career. Tuve, 3 at the same time! in one game. =)
Don't normally gripe too much about media coverage... but could you imagine what we'd be inundated with right now if it was Aaron Judge that hit 3 HR's yesterday vs. Jose Altuve? Strangely enough, he's not even the lead story-line of the game itself.... seeing more press regarding Sale's bad game, and overall decline down the stretch, vs. what the Astros did do. Ah well... 10 more to go.
Fun! I didn't even watch. My thought on Costas being bad was actually calling the game more than being a homer. Can't pronounce names right, didn't know if Bregman or Altuve made the play on the double play about a minute after the graphic clearly showed that Bregman was basically at short.
I've been a Costas fan over my life...mostly because I think he loves baseball. But he was bad yesterday. I thought they both were bad.
