You make the 2 sound like equals, but they are not. Conspiracy theories rarely, rarely, rarely, rarely ever pans out. So no, it's not foolish to reject the possibility of crazy sounding conspiracy theories until evidence strongly supporting such theories comes out. On the other hand, since conspiracy theories ends up being proven false pretty much every single time, it's incredible foolish to to believe them.
What the heck being on the left has to do with denying conspiracy theories with no base of evidence? No, that has to do with being a logical person. Also the sherrif didn't announce anything. He spoke his own thoughts, which then was critisized by the FBI agent who called it baseless speculation. The Sheriff could be right as much he could be wrong at this point. Also the so called help could be as much as going to an internet forum talking with other wackos and getting some "advice" on mass shooting 101.
Some keep focusing on right wing centered conspiracies and act like they're asking the tough questions . How convenient. If they're not clamoring to investigate the ISIS filipino connection, they are gun experts who insist the shooter was unfit for a massacre of this capacity. The whole "targeted country music audience theory" is bogus. Paddock considered several other festival options and booked rooms for other weekends in Vegas and even booked rooms in chicago during lollapalooza. For what it's worth, here is the statement by the leading FBI agent immediately after Lombardo's

Such as that Donald Trump conspired with Russia to rig the 2016 elections? There are a lot of people who are posting here in this thread who are big proponents of that one, even though there has been no evidence to substantiate it, even with the assistance of several government led investigations. Perhaps that even includes you.
When do y'all think they will release the hotel security cameras. A casino hotel like that probably has hundreds of cameras everywhere. I want to see how this dude got all that **** up there with nobody noticing
I do not care about the details how your country got duped into getting such a clown as president. but if only this case had the same kind of evidence as the russian one then a lot more people would believe it instead of just crazy ones. Instead of derailing let's get back on subject.
In other words, you believe in conspiracy theories when they support your partisan purposes and deny them when they don't, as you have documented in your post above for all to see.
I DO NOT CARE HOW TRUMP GOT VOTED. Capisci?? What I do care about is why this deranged individual decided to mass murder innocent people. Something you don't seem to do, and instead is wasting the thread space by promoting propagandistic bullcrap. Goodbye and welcome to my ignore list.
Wtf are you talking about? Who is even trying to correlate those two things at any level in this thread?
Exactly right. One current example is the one about Trump and Russia conspiring together to rig the 2016 election. The Democrat left is almost universally obsessed with that conspiracy theory.
I see that the bump stock will be the sacrificial lamb to protect guns from regulation. I'll take it. It's actually more progress than I was expecting.
You know its frustrating to hear comments like this. Its not a sacrificial lamb. Only the extreme few feel this should be legal. Even the NRA, as I expected, spoke out against this. I am not sure how these were unregulated in the first place. But yes, the bump stock regulation bury this incident. And like most ideas, this will not prevent or deter the next mass killing.
Good on the NRA for agreeing on bump stocks, etc, but they have such a surreal dystopian view. "In an increasingly dangerous world [compared to...? based on what data...?] , the NRA remains focused on our mission: strengthening Americans' Second Amendment Freedom to [... hunt, recreate, or collect? ... no, actually...] to defend themselves, their families, and their communities." [... from... each other? ... other gun owners?... antifa? ... liberal presidents? ... terrorists with NRA-approved weaponry who did not go through sensible background checks?] It's amazing how much their mission now is just based on fear. I guess nothing sells weaponry better. You can only buy so many guns to support dove hunting. I really thought I remember the NRA mission including more recreation, which logically should be 90% of what gun owners worry about, unless they work in Yemen or something. (I've definitely enjoyed some hunting and target practice in my life.) But we live in the age of the amygdala. We need carry permits in case some swarthy, long-haired evil-doer cuts in front of us without using their turn signal. LOL. Or tries to take hostages at the local Denny's.
Why would someone on the left blame the underworld "Left"? Kidding.... I know you just didn't word that right. In the minds of people that watch FoxNews this narrative is all over the place, and even the President repeats it (do I need to post the Tweet?). Everyone I know that watches that garbage never shuts up about the "Everything handed to them" narrative, and loves to tell stories about "People" they see at the super market buying lobster tails with food stamps.... implying that WE the hard working tax payers are paying for that lady with no job to eat Lobster on our dime. So if you consume right wing media I can see how you would think this but no, that's incorrect... at least not coming from this Liberal and any Liberal I know. *Lengthy but this is my mission statement - I see it mostly as a fair playing ground societal system where leadership works on behalf of the American people instead of billionaires and corporations. We see a politically structured economy, and society that is put in place to have the 99% work their butts off to stay barely above water while the 1% reaps the benefit and privilege that comes from having political & economic power. Most people on the left just want the American Dream to be alive where the harder they work, the better they can make their lives. We want the same thing that most conservative republican middle class people want too, its just that we see your leadership is working in opposition to that dream, but only one half of the country seems to see how your leadership puts in place policies that are actually bad for the everyday working class. Look at any piece of legislation the GOP has tried to pass... Healthcare, Tax, etc. and tell me how this supports that structure for the hard working to succeed. And In this case I'd like to everyday Republicans take some ownership of their party that has Congressman who take millions of dollars from the NRA to be the ones to take a leadership position with lawmakers on their end to work towards reducing gun violence. If it comes from the Left we will be spat in the face. This is on you guys on the Right to fix unless you want to keep on lying and acting like its not a problem so the NRA will have more money to continue to fund politicians on your side to win elections based on lies like "Liberals Want to Take Your Guns Away".
I wasn't specifically referring to the left blaming 'the underworld'. I was talking in general. All I see is the Left complaining, no matter what it is about. What you say may be the case, unfortunately the Left who are smack bang in our faces constantly are to me at least, the biggest laughing stock in the world. Someone should write a book titled 'Hillary's Excuses'. And each page is simply one of her excuses as to why she lost. It would be longer than The Lord of the Rings. And that's even only allocating one page to her 'Russia' conspiracy.
As a registered republican I'm convinced that most modern day conservatives would eat a turd as long as liberals complained it smelled bad
