Love that song!! What movie is that from?

Another band I felt that was ahead of their time is New Order, and remind me a lot of the indie rock that we hear today

Barely 80's (recorded in 79 but released in 80 & a good 4 years ahead of it's time in sound). Interesting thing about OMD is that they cite Kraftwerk as a Huge influence on them..and Kraftwerk cites OMD as a big influence. Depeche Mode lists both Kraftwerk and OMD. OMD was huge in Europe but sadly highly underrated in the U.S.

Ok. Browsed the thread. I think I have a few that haven't showed up yet.

"Whip It" was in heavy, heavy rotation early on.

    Taco!

Not a great video, but a very 80's song.

Creepy twitchy eyed guy made this video.

Kids in America off the Valley Girl soundrack. Kim doing the 'white people 80's dance', where you go side to side and nothing above your elbows moves.

Don't ride the white horse, kiddies!

Without a doubt, the best song ever about a chess tournament. Pretty sure it's also the only song ever about a chess tournament.

I came up with another half dozen or so but I've got to leave a few for you guys.

some George Harrison. This song never seemed to go away that year.
