Are we seriously discussing the conspiracy theories about "false flag" operations and the like?

C'mon man, let's be better than that.

There are obviously many pieces of missing information. This was an intricately planned operation, not the work of an "incompetent" person. Stockpiling firearms over the last year suggests it wasn't a "spur of the moment" event. On the surface, he doesn't fit the profile of who he was supposed to be. Much is missing. I agree with you that things don't add up.

How was this an intricately planned operation? The guy bought guns/ammo, booked a hotel, and then shot at a bunch of people.

I think he means as opposed to just showing up at work or some mall or gathering at the entrance and blasting away. It took some planning. There are reports that he tried to rent rooms overlooking another outdoor festival a month ago. He altered his guns to get more rounds in per his limited time. He also brought a glass breaker. This was a thought-out thing.

Well he had to get a room that was in the right location, had to find a way to get all of those weapons and ammo up to his room without alerting anyone....and we're probably talking about at least 100 lbs of ammo alone, saying "intricately planned" is probably overstating it, but it wasn't a simple thing.

He also wanted to send his gf away one month before. Who knows for how long he had been planning to do this.

It's unbelievable, to me, that any of my fellow citizens -- any of them -- really think there are left wing groups that would sacrifice dozens of lives and hundreds of horrible injuries just to advance the cause of... lowering injuries due to gun violence.

Yet, some of our fellow citizens are ready to believe this (whether or not Mojo feels that way).

The guy booked the room in the ideal location, bought the guns and modifications, bought a tool for breaking the glass, sent his girlfriend and $100,000 overseas just prior to the event. Everything points to this being a premeditated attack.

The guy was a degenerate gambler, probably owed money or was in trouble with some bad folks, and decided to go on a rampage. That's my guess, not big into conspiracies though

I think these whackos think no one actually died and it's all faked. Another Brother has a friend on FB who was arguing they were all actors.

I imagine he had them in luggage or duffel bags and carried them to the elevator. Even if he made multiple trips, nobody would have raised an eyebrow. It's a massive Vegas casino, all kinds of people/stuff come and go.

Exactly. Someone staying in a large suite for multiple nights could easily send all the stuff up in a few trips on a bellman's luggage cart without looking even a little bit suspicious.

    I agree with this.

I don't 100% discount the chance he was radicalized by ISIS (or antifa) at this point though. 98% but not 100%.

This guy is outright lying to people. Not sure why the Dems don't sue him for slander. If he's spreading deliberately false information that negatively affects another organization, he should be held accountable.

I have no valid answer. I will try deflect the question by issuing a statement that has no relevance to the question in hopes that the response is sufficient.

    Chicken thigh.
