It has nothing to do with attitude. It has to do with the plain fact that there have been black men, women and children fatally shot down by police while doing nothing wrong whatsoever. While I will admit that "murder" might be a bit strong, given that there likely wasn't premeditation in most instances, second degree "murder" doesn't require premeditation and could certainly apply in cases like Rice and Castille.

The fact that you continue to double down on your denial just shows that you're either incapable of or simply refuse to even try to comprehend what these protests are about, which is clearly evidenced by your commentary in this and other threads.

I posted studies complete with statistical analysis in addition to entire books written on the subject. The facts don't agree with one of us, but I posted actual facts and your response, yet again, is the equivalent of a toddler's "nuh-uhhhh." Get back to me when you have something other than the response of a three year old, chief.

SMH, and that's why there's no point in arguing with simpletons who have convinced themselves that the racism boogie man is to blame for all of societies ills. It's damn near a religion with those people.

I argue with simpletons like you so that the intelligent among us can clearly see how feeble your "thinking" is.

Try refuting the facts I presented rather than just tossing out insults, son.

Note that neither I nor anyone else has claimed that "the racism boogie man is to blame for all of societies ills." That is yet another straw man you tossed out because you don't have any arguments based on facts or evidence, sport.

This is completely about you blaming things on the boogie man of racism rather than being rational and looking at the actual reasons why things happen. I've spelled it out for you and you still don't get it so you'll just have to continue going forward in ignorance. Intelligent people acknowledge the links between poverty and crime and they acknowledge the links between crime and violent interactions with police.....you're the other kind of people.

No, this is completely about accurately identifying actual instances of racism in order to shine a light on the bigots who continue to perpetuate it.

Said by the guy who appears to have refused to look at the evidence I provided regarding the actual reasons why things happen.

You've made baseless claims even in the face of evidence that shows that you're the ingorant one.

Yes, I did acknowledge these links...

I acknowledged these links as well...

Yes, I'm the kind of people who has also seen that there are links between race and inequalities in the justice system, links which are over and above those you pointed out above.

You'd be aware of these links too if you weren't steadfastly ignoring the evidence.

Nice projection, since you're the ignorant one in this conversation.

If you accept the link between poverty and crime, and the links between crime and violent interactions with police, and you understand that the poverty rate is significantly higher among black people than white people......then you would understand the reason why rates aren't equal among different racial groups, and it's not racism.

Not true since racism is one of the factors in the poverty rates.

And if you looked at the evidence I provided, you'd find that racial factors are a significant predictor of disparate treatment by the criminal justice system even when covariates such as income level, socioeconomic status of the family, and socioeconomic status of the neighborhood are controlled.

You continue to ignore the evidence. Are you that dead set on being ignorant?

LOL yeah, "racism" made those people make poor decisions....again you can blame anything on the racism boogie man, but people just shouldn't be taken seriously when they pull that BS.

You come with correlation and imply causation, you are effectively suggesting that increased ice cream sales causes murder rates to rise and I just continue to not take that seriously....because it shouldn't be taken seriously. There's an obvious answer to these problems, but people like you want the answer to be racism so you go out of your way to make a case for it.

Not actually what I said at all. Since you refuse to accept recognized studies, evidence etc., your opinion on the matter doesn't have any real basis in reality.

No, I came with evidence that clearly shows that what I claimed is true. You have provided exactly zero evidence of anything and haven't even shown that you have evaluated the evidence I've provided, all you have shown is that you will continue to ignore the evidence, no matter how compelling that evidence may be.

No, if all I had done is show correlation, it would have been suggesting either that increased ice cream sales were linked with higher rates of obesity or that the presence of a gun in a household is linked with an increased likelihood of an accidental shooting in that household. Your inane attempt at analogy posited two completely different topics where my evidence is all centered around racial disparities in the criminal justice system.

Neither would I if I had made a claim even remotely like you suggested. I didn't make any such claim.

What shouldn't be taken seriously is your denial of the facts, especially given the evidence I provided and the utter lack of any evidence for your claims.

I don't have to "go out of my way" to make a case, all I have to do is look at the evidence, something that you steadfastly refuse to do.

Ignoring the evidence merely makes you ignorant. Have fun wallowing in your bliss.

I'm sure you think that, but that's really just displaying your shortcomings. Anyway, I didn't expect you to understand and I always expected you to just double down on the racism boogie man when you were slapped around by reality....and you didn't disappoint.

Serious question. Even for people who usually agree with Bobby's hot takes.

Does he provide anything more than platitudes?

I've seen him repeat the "I'm sure this is what you believe..." line like 20 times this month.

Has he gone Bigtexxx mode and is only trolling now?
