Did you even watch the game? Westbrook didn't play and MDA played starters way longer than the thunder did. Didn't look that promising to me. They had ****ing Felton start the game so what are you talking about

You are correct about last night.

However I think Russ is going to canabalize Carmelo and PG when he comes back.

Carmelo isn’t getting all those shots he got with Russ on the court. That’s not happening.

What in the... this was AWFUL. Stupid review. Too slow, no substance, waste of time, and I'm sure I'm missing something.

Apart from the fact that roslolian is a homer, which is totally fine with me, the Rox blew them open because we had better chemistry, better ball movement, our starters played more minutes, they lacked chemistry, we shot the 3 ball much more than they do (hey 3 pts are worth much more than long 2s)......

Only thing we got outrebounded which was clear because of our small ball and spacing.

I think we did not the play the strongest version of the Thunder so I would hold the horses either way. It is preseason and not the postseason!

And their 3rd stringers looked better than our 3rd stringers.

The player I get excited about is CPaul.

Ow yeah one more positive: Ariza was fantastic. Every off-season people want him gone or replaced as starter and every single time he proves his worth. Did you see the step back sideways three? Watch out, Ariza will be better than ever!!

PJ and Luc are very important additions. It's like the Rockets went from one Ariza to three Ariza. That should help give the real Ariza plenty of rest this season. Hopefully that translate to no extended period of drop off in 3s % that he had gone through every season here.

Extra credit to Ryan. I don't recall him doing too much harm with PJ on him.

Wait, what? You are seriously making the same claims OKC fans are making..... Westbrick didn't play and Rockets had starters in for most of the game.... This is bs and let me tell you why..... The Rockets were in control the whole game, they could literally pull away at any moment regardless of who was on the floor. They looked composed, calm and playing their game. Do you really think Rockets were playing their heart out? Why would they? And why would they pull starters out? Because everybody does it? MDA didn't keep the starters in the game because he is an idiot, he did it because he wants to get these guys a feel for the season. He wants to run plays and see what has to be done before the season starts. Oh so OKC saw enough in 6 min so we should pull our starters out. F-that and f those who think Rockets should not get enough playing time together before season starts......

I'm sure OKC will be more challenging with Westbrook but do you really think Houston is not prepared for it? Houston played their game, got tons of open looks and saw a lot of positives from Paul in a night where Harden didn't even try. Our defense looks to be solid and the team is deep as hell. Look at what Houston and stop paying attention at the end of the game score. Its not a true reflection of what we will see during the regular season. Stop doing the same crap OKC is doing and making excuses. Rockets dominated OKC last night with out ever feeling any sense of urgency.

i think he will be more of a defensive force than offensive, his wing span is crazy, if he can become Mutombo like on D, he will be more than capable of a backup spot, offense will be there if he maintains his soft touch

Good first showing, really encouraging to see both Paul and Harden coexisting well on the court already. I'm sure there will be an adjustment period but the potential of those two sharing the floor is so great.

Pretty much all the regulars played well so I have no real complaints. Only minor nitpick is that Capela still looks pretty soft with the ball at times. And hopefully he can get a little better at rim protection.

Really interested to see how the Thunder fit with Westbrook playing. Him being on the floor will change their entire offense so I don't put a lot of stock into what I saw tonight. Melo looks like he can be a really good #3 option with limited attempts.

Yep- Houston was barely trying and they dominated. Agree the prolonged starters in game was for chemistry. Obviously the thunder are (stupidly) not worried about integrating their new players seeing how Russ didn't play. Last year it was "Russ- chucker, stat-padder extraordinaire"and 4 scrubs. Now he actually has to play TEAM ball with his new players - good fkn luck with that.

Westbrook has had way more playoff successes than Harden. The notion that he's a selfish player is ridiculous. He truly deserved MVP last season. It was a once in a lifetime performance and we were so lucky to witness greatness.

WB had Durant and Harden had older Howard in the past. I'd take Durant over Howard.

Jesus Christ dude calm your ass down

I literally agree with every word you said. I was just pointing out to someone Felton was the starting point guard and it's just the preseason
