There's video surveillance in the hotel. I think the investigation of those tapes would have already ruled that out. I think they already confirmed that the firearms could have been in the luggage he brought into the room.
I believe he shot himself when he heard the police breaking in. If that is the case then the police would have at least heard that gunshot if not the gun shots down at the crowd before he was alerted to their presence.
