    One of my best friends saw Tom Petty at Hollywood bowl 8 days ago. He said he wanted to catch him one last time in concert before he retired.

    I want to go back to bed and pretend this day never happened.

    Damn this one hurts. No offense to the people affected in Las Vegas but I have no connection to any of them. Petty's music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.

    Not even sure what else to say. Rest in peace to a legend.

    He just finished what he was calling his "last major tour" per his 40th anniversary and that tour just ended on Sept. 25th. His website says he had a couple shows scheduled in NY for Nov. 8 - 9. That's just unbelievable. He literally just got home off tour.
