Thanks Obama! Obama probably bought the guns, mod-ed them to be automatics, gave them to the shooter, and told the shooter to go crazy.
The narriative manipulation with Omar Mateen all came from Republicans either ignoring or outright rejecting the fact that Pulse was a gay club so they wouldn't have to express sympathy for evil, godless homosexuals.
I don't blame them either really. Everyone wants to know why this happened, and right now the brother was the best shot at trying to get a handle on it. I feel bad for him that he's gotta go through this, but I commend him for talking to them this quickly and this willingly.
time and a place but imo ~12 hours later is not it. credit to him though, i wouldn't have come out to talk.
This was not ISIS inspired - let's be sane here. Outside of that, it could be anything. It could be a far-left loon unhappy with Trump, it could be a far-right loon unhappy with Vegas - I like how some people leave that possibility out. It could be a mentally deranged individual. Seems there was not many clues if his domestic partner had no idea. Only things we know is that this was clearly well thought-out if he stockpiled and he clearly kept his motives hidden from his family. Given everything, seems the guy was probably just mentally ill.
Addressing the issues (gun control etc) is the opposite of derailing this, but I'm okay if you aren't able to defend your viewpoints.
the key thing is to be patient and find out the truth while not letting any side politicize the tragedy. of course check the hilary book thread, she couldn't help herself. but finding the actual truth and communicating that to the public is very important.
Gun control is not the issue here, but again, I'm not going to let a simpleton derail the thread, so have a good day kiddo.
pretty sure its real. I agree though. the picture fits the mental image too well to be real. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/45952...c-the-finger-as-bullets-rain-down-around-him/
He had legal access to deadly weapons capable of mass murder, but gun control isn't an issue? Nice try, your idiotic "kiddo" and "LOL" aren't helping you.
Is this what someone like Richard Ramirez or Ted Bundy would do these days? In other words is there a paradigm shift for crazies eschewing the long, drawn out slow burn in favor of one big boom to make a splash? I.E. have serial psychos of old changed into something else or is stuff like this a separate, parallel, new invention?
Yeah wasn't she saying something stupid like "Imagine how many more people would have died if he was using a silencer"? So ridiculous for so many reasons and that's why people like that shouldn't be even proposing gun laws.
He's holding a bud light tallboy. I can't even. People co-opting this to somehow tie it into the #murica #standfortehtroopz nonsense is equal parts hilarious and stupid.
You don't know that he got the guns legally, and if he did it wouldn't really make a difference. Had he made a bomb and got the components legally, would you then suggest they need to be banned? If he had used a lorry and driven into the crowd, would you then be suggesting they be banned? Again, this is just more of you showing that you are a simpleton and that I shouldn't engage you in serious conversation.
I'll leave this thread for the day. Hopefully, we on CF can avoid replicating the extreme opinions and responses, but instead have some more rational dialogue (within reason, of course). I haven't drank in the morning since probably 1998, but I opened up a bottle of Pinot Noir at 8 AM. 99.9% of the time, it is best to live each day with a clear, rational presence. .001% of the time, being buzzed for the day (when you have nowhere to go, of course) are in order (BTW, drinking never, ever solves any problems- it's there staring you in the face the next day - but avoiding things for a day feels mighty good sometimes). Prayers for this horrible tragedy. Out, CF brothers and sisters. (ah, who am I kidding? I'm addicted to CF- I couldn't leave for more than 10 minutes, Pathetic, DD).
