You don't believe a news report that quotes family members of the killer? What is it you are asking? A sick and evil deranged individual shot up a country music festival. What is your angle here, why can't you believe he could have been a country music fan?
i'm no fbi profiler but seems to me like those folks hurt themselves and not innocents. to willfully and actively try to hurt innocents there usually is an "ideological" motive of some kind.
I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not, but no matter what this guy's motivations, this was almost definitely a terrorist attack.
If indeed ISIS brainwashed the guy in such a short period of time as they claim, then that would add a new dimension of terror threat, because even profiling doesn't work in those cases.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for this horrible attack. They say that Stephen Paddock converted to Islam several months ago and that he was a soldier of the Islamic State.
Well there are a few motivations that would make sense given the target and the manner the attack was carried out. 1. Some kind of ISIS inspired motivation 2. This was another Bernie bro attack 3. This was just a crazy person that just wanted to kill as many people as possible on his way out and he didn't care who they were. Without any solid evidence to support a religious or political motive, I'm leaning option 3 for now.
I'm always worried about this happening at Oktoberfest. It would seem like the perfect target for it - women with boobs out, pork, lots of alcohol, little security, many people in a big crowd without an escape route. And yet, I go every year.
I just read Trump's speech. It seems more like a priest talking at church than a politician. Instead of talking about God this and that, don't you want to hear the leader talk about measures that it won't repeat and all questions answered?
Yes, we know you were hoping he was a rap fan. Why don't you just say what you want to say instead of trying to hide behind your blatantly stupid 'questions'? Coward.
you could argue both folks who hurt themselves for being in terrible situations and folks who mass shoot are "bad" people, that goes without question. this discussion is more about what type of bad person. i.e., hurt themselves, loved ones, or hurt complete innocents.
yea i'm not buying the isis claim but... it should be checked out because that is a serious game changer if they have that capability.
The shooters' motives will become apparent during the investigation. Could be anything from a tumor in his head to religion to politics to severe gambling losses.
Always fear the same and wonder why there still hasn't been a single attack during Oktoberfest, some capital's new year's eve party or other mass gatherings. Intelligence agencies do an outstanding job, we'll probably never know how many terrorist acts have been prevented without the public ever knowing.
