Lol how you people continue to overrated PJs defense is beyond me. You're comparing an all defense first team defender vs someone who has never been on an all team defender first/second team. I don't get the hype here.

For pure defense against Carmelo. It's not even close.

Same reasons Chuck Hayes was far superior to KG against Amare Stoudamire.

PJ is a better defender than Patrick Beverley.

I'm with you, I really think when people look at a player and they like his game, or him as a player, but their offense isn't great they turn to the defense side of the ball. I think it's kind of similar to Ariza, he doesn't jump out at you with highlights or offense but he definitely has something about him that makes him valuable. I see tucker as the same type of guy, he will help us win but it's not easy to say why.

Tucker was a good signing. He adds toughness and defense for 25 minutes a game ideally. I don't see how it's a bad signing at all.

For one, he stays in front of his man, and doesn't just incessantly reach, letting the ballhandler around him. For two, he can defend 3 positions.

I'm going to go ahead and take that as a compliment. Homer was a great writer.

    Yeah.....

Actually he is one of the best defensive wings in the game. All the advanced statistics back up that assessment as well. That doesn't even account for the fact he is good at defending most 4's as well.

He isn't a star player, but he is very good at what he does; which is hit corner 3's at a high clip, defend very well and space the floor. He also is a smart player.

You mean Ryno's 28' jumper. He recovered to a normal 3 just fine, imo. I mean, there's a reason Ryno stepped out that far....because PJ can close.

There are few guys we'll have to guard at 28'.

PJ Tucker isn't the best defender but he is a very good defender.

yeah this is the play and i realize ryno was beyond the arc, pj just looks like he's waddling his way there instead of a direct closeout to the shooting hand

He's also recovering from the hamstring. Sunday was the first full run for him right?

Saturday was an off day for them I believe.
