I think by the end of the season Zhou will not be apart of the team. I see him getting traded, he is one of our only asset not in our rotation.

we will have to see him play during the season 1st...too bad he will barely get time

Even then, how are u going to judge him after 1 season? He has potential, but he will have to get a lot stronger before he can be counted on.

Maybe he would say the system held him back.

He's going to AT LEAST have next season as a chance to prove himself. The prospect of him becoming a rotation player has excellent benefits for the Rockets. I think at the end of the season, we'll have seen good development and a couple of good games with the Rockets but he will look like he needs another summer and training camp. I'm hopeful about his future, he seems like he's really up for developing himself into an NBA player. Let's see if it translates.

He has a super rare skill set. That alone makes him interesting.

I don't expect him to have a Capela rookie like impact, but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility either. He will to adjust to the speed of the game and develop stamina and strength. I expect him to become a 10-12 th man, in his sophomore year with our Rockets.

You definitely don't trade a 7'2" player who can shoot 3's, run the court and block shots in his 1st yr. SUPPOSEDLY, he's 21/22 yrs old, if that's the case, you definitely don't trade him

I'm glad we kept him and will be very interested in seeing how he develops. His length is such a bonus and will give us someone besides Capela who can protect the rim. With his offensive skills and range, he could develop into a part of the rotation, certainly by next year (with a chance to surprise this year). If he does anything this year, he'll sell a TON of jersey's in China and gain Roxs even more exposure there as well

i think he is about 2 years away. he will get mins this year in blow outs but I believe he will be shuttled back and forth to the RGV like all 1-2 year players. But when you have players & coaches like KD/Harden/cp3/D'antoni saying how skilled he is, i can see him being at least a starter when his body matures a bit more. Also, we lack depth after nene in the center/PF - i dont see rockets looking to sign another player in that position, that alone gives me confidence to think he will get a little burn on the court.

one year of garbage time and rgv then see what he cna do next year. he has intl experience already. i really think we shoul ddevelop this guy. bigs like nanu grow on trees. zhou is a freakishly tall scoring big who has decent potential to be effective on rebouning and defense. even if he cant be more than a bench player he's one you'd want.

He will be viewed as having a higher ceiling than Capela.

He's already head and shoulders above nearly everyone on the court...
