Hinch doesn't really care about this game today. Sipp, Gregerson, etc. out of the pen to try and keep it close?
At some point you have to wonder whether Gregerson should even be on the playoff roster. He's garbage.
That point already came and went. He has no business on the playoff roster. Liriano got his **** together......Gregerson hasn't.
Shoulda kept Neshek. How many of us were saying that last year? Journeymen relievers have got to be the most difficult guys to predict year-to-year.
Meh, bring on Sale. They never saw our 2 ToR guys this series and they've had to pull out all their main weapons just to salvage one win from this series so far.
With an off day between games 4 and 5, Keuchel could be on regular rest in a game 5 with Verlander going on short rest if down 2-1. But let's just go ahead and get a sweep.
LMJ's reg season ERA will be comfortably over 4.00. Playoff shine incoming though. He will perform well from the pen.
Once we went down 3 and our offense continued to struggle hinch essentially threw in the towel. More than likely he wanted to see if either sipp or Gregerson would show anything of promise. They both effectively pitched their way off the bench playoff roster which is definitely for the best.
The best thing that could have come out of this game is the fact that Hinch has no reason to hesitate keeping Sipp and Gregerson off the playoff roster now. They just made his life a lot easier.
Vaspersian talking about a wet sock: "I know where I've gotta go after the game." Audience: yeah, you've gotta go home to rub one out while thinking about David Price out of the pen.
If I have to hear the words "David Price" and "Secret Weapon" for 5 more games...I swear to god......
