My first though as well. But if the rumors are true, that Ancelotti provoked his dismissal by not preparing the team for the Paris game at all, they had no choice.

The early goal helped them a lot and gave them tons of space. After the first minutes we did quite well and created decent chances (Martinez, Müller, Lewandowski). Sure it was one-dimensional and uninspired most of the time, but not as terrible as most people or the media is saying. It's not like they crushed us, could've very well been 1-1 at halftime instead of 0-2. Neuer alone would've been a gamechanger.

Neuer and Lewandowski are still the best in the world on their respective positions (Lewandowksi doesn't disappear, teams like Dortmund are purposely trying to hurt him for quite some time, no coincinedence he was injured last year and the year before in march/april). Hummels, Boateng and Martinez are elite defenders and passers. Alaba is a world class wing defender once he's getting his **** together, Vidal one of the best box-to-box midfielders. Ribéry and Robben might have lost a step on the whole picture and can't stay healthy - but there are still not that many better players out there. Just a few come to my mind. Müller is better than his image right now because clueless and irresponsible media stomped on him the whole last season, ignoring that he had a career-high in assist (14).

The questionable condition also has to do with the ridiculous preseason trips to China and Singapore. It's pretty easy to b**** about a team that is not in best shape after not even 1/4 of the season, even though the guys won 4 out of 6 in Bundesliga. Remember last year, we weren't top of the table until beating Leipzig just before christmas, also made it to the cup semis and were not far from eliminating Real.

Hoeneß just did a little interview:
Said five players were fed up with Ancelotti, situation was only getting worse.

Decision to sack Ancelotti was made at 3:30am this morning.

Real Madrid a role model regarding transfers

Hoeneß now also said Sagnol will only be coaching vs Hertha and that a new solution will be presented during/after next international break.

Guess this means Tuchel, don't think Hoffenheim would let Nagelsmann go in the middle of the season. That interview with Nagelsmann saying his wife & child are moving to their new house in Munich soon is pretty intriguing in retrospect, tough.

Sagnol= Bayern's interim coach. Previously Ancelotti's assistant coach and before that Bordeaux plus French Youth National team coach.

Tuchel= Former Mainz and Dortmund coach, got sacked by Watzke after last season (Because of internal feuds)

Nagelsmann=current Hoffenheim coach and by many seen as the biggest coaching talent in Germany, maybe whole Europe. Only 30yrs old and great tactician

And Sagnol was the most renowned among those 3, Ex French national player and all........ Not sure how well Nagelsmann or Tuchel played tho.

Both only played in lower divisions (think 4th) and got into coaching really early. Examples like Mourinho show how this doesn't matter though, young coaches are often more versatile, as today's coaching educations are vastly better than decades ago.

Love that scene lulz, would love to have a real gameplan and actual coaching again.
Know Pep and Tuchel aren't the easiest characters to have around, but this is how coaches should act and prepare their team.

SportBILD today again saying that Tuchel and Bayern are currently negotiating and that he's clear frontrunner atm.

Great performance from Chelsea. Chelsea look like a real threat for the first time in a while for the UCL. Still think PSG's counter attacking is way too lethal though. They should be the favorites IMO.

Tuchel landed in Munich this evening and BILD saying him and Rummenigge had extensive phone conversations prior to this, guess this will be happening pretty quick now.
BILD also saying Rummenigge contacted Pep and asked about Tuchel, nice to see them still having respect for each other.

Guardiola's separatist activities are very questionable.

    Another 4-0 at home

United looking good against these mediocre teams. Tougher challenges await but I'll take the start
