We sure did. He got his own strange view, but he is a great individual and what a shame that we never got to see his peak. Also, POTUS didn't call for his head. The nba as an organization has their own right. They have the same position today. Extremely bad example of how far we moved... when the nba hasn't at all. Big fail from Commodore again.
That HS football rule will last as long as it does not impact the game results. The star QB and RB will not be *fired*. Remember it is whether you win or lose. That is what is really important.
Meanwhile HISD says they will not compel anyone to stand. It's one thing to put pressure on people to stand, and quite another to actually penalize them for not complying. A private organization could get away with it, but a public school that took action against a student because he would not participate is going to lose their lawsuit. Why they want to flush money down the toilet is beyond me.

Not a fan of Trump and would never vote for him, but it looks like his comments worked. Players and coaches now seem to be kneeling before the anthem is played, or locking arms during the anthem. Much better way to protest than before. Also nice to see the NBA commissioner coming out and saying the expects the players to comply with the NBA rule to stand during the anthem. Roger Goodell should take notes.
You want to honor those who served, pass a bill that does them justice, not worry about whether someone is standing, sitting, or kneeling during the national anthem before a sporting event. Before a sporting event!
