I don't eggball but my well informed opinion is to g et rid of the damn national anthem during sporting events unless it is something like the biggest sporting event in the world , the football WORLD CUP

You don't see the National Anthem when two of the biggest clubs in the world are playing football (real)

Only crappy dumbass unathletic fake tough guy eggball has to have it

Ha... alright bud, whatever you say.

If I ever questioned anyone's patriotism then MAYBE you MIGHT have a point.... but that never happened, try again.

If you didn't care you wouldn't have gone out of your way to bring it up.

What are you going on about here..... jesus man... get over it.

Same can be said for you.

No need to keep putting words in my mouth, never said anything about getting "triggered".... whatever that means.

I don't have to "support" the Rockets. I watch the team and consider myself a fan. I don't think the whole kneeling bit does anything at all to help whatever causes they may be trying to bring attention to.

The anthem is a reminder that we can have luxuries like professional sports in this country and we need to acknowledge that when fellow Americans come together for a sporting event.

The "real" football leagues are not U.S. teams, so I don't see why we should adopt their entertainment methods.

There are other places to do these "protests" that isn't disrespecting the flag or anthem, and there are avenues already set up for them to push forth their agenda, whatever that may be. Also, these players hardly ever do these things and at the least they can act proper for 2 minutes. Its 82 times in an entire year and they get paid more than handsomely to do so (NBA pay is highest). Then after their games they have all the social media presence in the world to put words to their cause. I'm pretty sure most people here hawk the player's social media accounts anyways, so it would workout perfectly.

The day that Rockets fans stop cheering loudly and disrespecting the song when they sing the line, "And The Rockets Red Glare" is the day you can come talk to me about a knee.

The Rockets could nail a game winning three, all look directly into the camera after and say "Ayo, **** HoustonCRT on Clutchfans." and I'd still support the team.

Patriotism is one of the best tricks humanity has ever pulled off / forged under the concept of nationalism.

I thought the kneeling thing was a compromise worked out by a patriot and CP.... Instead of sitting they would kneel to show both respect and protest.

They need to stop kneeling and just practice shooting or stretch. The way America has treated minorities these past years it's time for a revolution.

"Triggered" is a word that is frequently used in the D&D sub-forum here at Clutchfans. Posters like to use it to get under the skin of other posters. Other popular words in D&D are "snowflake" and "kiddo".

This thread has attracted many of the Posters that post primarily in the D&D forum.

Ahhhh... thanks for enlightening me, wasn't sure of the purpose. So they're basically meant to be demeaning, just trolls doing work.

Just because we are more aware of it as a nation than we may have been in the past doesn't necessarily mean treatment is worse. We have come a long way and it's nothing like it used to be, but we do still have a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately, it's probably a road that never ends because you'll never completely kill off bigotry/hatred/racism.

    Lt. General getting after it!!!

The real question is when will white ppl begin to show love towards blacks Latinos and native americans?

Blacks Latinos and native americans are disrespected that white ppl are up in arms about a flag and not up in arms about unarmed black native and Latino men being gunned down in the street like dogs.

How can a flag be disrespected? It doesn't have any gotd@mn life in it. Its code for white ppl being disrespected.

Blacks and Hispanics and natives americans have loved this country no matter how much white America has killed and destroyed them.

The real question is when will white ppl being to show blacks latinos and native Americans love?
