If you're just going to scroll down to the part about the Texans and not bother to read how they came up with the grades there really isn't a point in debating you. I think most people would agree Rick has done a pretty mediocre job as GM but keep on sipping the kool aid if you want.

If by mediocre, you mean good but not very good. Or average to slightly above average.

Just looking at the 2015 draft. The Texans pick ,Kevin Johnson at #16, has arguably been better than #3, #5, #6, #7, #9, #11, #14, #20, #26. And that is with all the injuries.

Also how many due to injury and how many still in the league playing for other teams. Injury speaks for itself but maybe they are still NFL level talent just didn't work out here. And I'm not defending Rick either, I wanted his ass gone with Kubes but you can't just pick small data point and reach the conclusion you want.

I made a reference on this that BoB talked about earlier in the week. BoB admitted to getting types of plays from Watson based off of what Watson liked doing. Coach trust the rookie. That is something that no other QB has gained in this system. Special player.

    The top tweet ....

    Vision, mobility/speed ..Decision making...(underrated arm)...leader...champion..

I thought we valued DW way too high. Figured he would be decent-good..not worthy of a first rounder, much less 13.

Never in a million years did I think it was going to be a case of his game translating equally at the highest of levels.

But, Watson has IT in Spades at EVERY level.

First, he shows us the 49 yard trot against the Bengals. Then proceeds to take apart the Patriots through his mobility and the AIR. (which would have resulted in a win if B.O.B. had run Foreman on third and fourth to get the first, playing to win. and not to lose) ..Already working through progressions..throwing back shoulder strikes.

Watson is at his best on the biggest stages in the most crucial of moments.

Anyway, the offensive line leaves a lot to be desired without Duane AND DW IS just getting started ....But, it's already obvious....The NFL game will slow down for Watson, and while he has many miles to go, DW looks to be a HOF caliber QB. At 22, in his third game..Deshaun was dueling with Brady...and should have won.

Feels so good to be wrong.

I really like the reference about Watson giving bob "suggestions" on what can work better regarding playing tactics and credit to Bob willing to adapt and listen to make it work ...

Tony Romo saved his life by deciding to retire. Watson is 5th on that list even though he played 1 less half and already being one of the most elusive QBs in the NFL.

Going to be nice having this guy back. Gets behind the defense constantly.

I'm actually looking forward to when the play breaks down, Watson has to extend it, gives Fuller a chance to run to a new spot and with that speed can get really open..

    HC/QB relationship is so important.

    Where’s Savage on this list?

Still a gem. Focus on the last section where he talks about the "Road Runner."

I am sure Gruden was smiling last Sunday. Perfect eye execution. Talking about details, Watson's play action fake is incredible for a guy who didn't run those types of plays in college. The Details Gentleman, The Details.

I'm guzzling the Kool aid, too, but let's tap the brakes a little. Let's not talk about HOF until we get a Pro Bowl or Super Bowl appearance.

I'm sure after watching RG3 play for half a year, Redskins fans were talking like this, too....

Keyword “arguably.” Anyway I never said he didn’t hit on first round picks although I think kj has a lot to do to prove himself. By mediocre I meant bottom half of the league. If you’re ok with going 9-7 8-8 7-9 that’s fine but I’d like to be a perineal contender every year and missing on 2nd 3rd and 4th round picks isn’t going to get you there. I’ll give him credit when I believe credit is due.

No you won't. He's had more success here than failures. But all you bring up are his failures.

I never said he's great...his total body of work has been mediocre (just like you stated now). However, he's definitely not a terrible GM just like he's definitely not a top tier GM.
