I'm not sure what your response has to do with anything.

    This isn't complicated.

When you say "Done deal", the implication is it's a done deal. When the deal then doesn't get done, you were wrong.

EDIT: Well, what you say above relative to Melo being the final source is interesting. I'm not disputing that. Worth a thread and discussion. My comment was relative to all the potatohead/insiders on twitter discussion, which is where this thread immediately and originally went.

Melo should have held firm but he folded with a straight flush in his hand. Knicks clearly were going to eventually cave.

Hope he's not a gambling man.

from all of our perspectives it sounds like its that easy but he obviously wanted to get out of NY asap which left him very little choice and went with the next best thing

Right but considering that it was supposedly done I think if he held out a little longer the Knicks would have felt forced to do it before camp. Knicks talking about bringing him to camp seems like a bluff after how quickly they dealt and what they took back don't you think?

Bosh and Melo turned Rockets down twice. So no.

    Melo handled this surprisingly professionally.

I don't think most current NBA stars would've been this reserved. (See: Kyrie Irving)

Yeah, the after the fact reports like these just suck sometimes. Regardless, I'm excited for the team we have.

We failed like Russell Wilson against Patriots. Chris Paul is going to be Richard Sherman.

same. we have our stars mixed in with a good group guys. All of which bring something different to the table. With the new additions, it opens up their ceiling a bit and hou should have yet another very good season and will be tough to eliminate come postseason

Morey has an amazing record when it comes to failed trades blessings in disguise. He has dodged more than one bullet.

I feel like you maybe right...the conspiracy against Houston can ring true in this sentiment. Obviously NY is at fault here but what the league decided against it as well.

Are we calling the Lowry/Gasol/Nene combo a dodged bullet?
