According to Lawrence, "One Western Conference coach has it on good authority that Charles Barkley, who signed a 'one-year deal' for $9 mil, already has a deal in the bank for next season with the Rockets, at $14 mil. As far as the NBA knows, no such deal exists. Psst: There's another big bag of money in the same Houston vault, with newest Rocket Shandon Anderson's name on it."

Love Big Sexy. But, it's time for him to finally follow though, and claim his destiny...as Governor of Alabama. No more half a$$ed flirting with the inevitable. He's great on TNT ...and has made a load of dough doing it. It's time to take that next step.

Kinda different when we are talking about millions, also clearly Barkely had to sign for this to happen, they couldnt just do this to him. In other words the Rockets owe him jack ****, they gave him a pay cut and he went out and played.

This is not different because of scale. If you got screwed over regardless of your salary you would be pissed.
many people in the real world have left their jobs because of getting screwed over for less, low pay increase, missing bonuses etc.

but my point now is there is evidence that this is true(below)
Clutch is always right about things like this.

You're missing my point. Barkley still suited up and went out there and played which means he agreed to the pay cut. The difference is he had a choice whereas due to scale and position in life other people do not. He accepted so he needs to STFU and move on.

How do you know that he accepted a pay cut when the deal was an under the table deal?
from the time line and what happened to Joe Smith, the Rockets could have decided not to pay him for fear of league penalties.

My point is that he saw the sum, as he said and he still played anyway. He took the money and now he wants to cry about it.

Les needs to get in on the twitter beef. Tell Barkley he's about to pull up.

So does Barkley end his grudge once the sale goes through? Legitimate question.

I am on team Barkley on this one.

I can see Les doing this and I doubt Barkley would like about it and go public with it if not true.

Since Les is gone, I doubt Tilman will make this same mistake.

Here's evidence that Barkley got screwed over.

Yes newbs just think Barkley has irrational hatred toward the Rockets.

I would dislike my former employer if they forgot to give me 21% of my salary for the year.

There's a lot of history fail on Clutchfans
I don't blame the newbs because there's lots of misinformation
you know, Jordan didn't play in 1995 when he did play in 1995 etc

The Barkley one is definitely a homer theory based on fans who never saw him play as a Rocket

He should have ran for Senator this year, would have taken down both Moore and Strange.
