At this point, tying the Indians is good enough for regular season. History and record books will still say Astros best AL record. Then, beat everyone
I'm pretty sure it was less than that. Astros hottest team in baseball last 10 games. Hinch and his crazy lineups to the rescue.
Probably the same idiot who was losing his s*** in the early innings of both last night and the night before...whining about how terrible they are. He's Randy Quaid from Major League 2. These 2 games couldn't have been more poetic justice if they were written by Walt Whitman himself. Crush them 25-5 in 2 games while eliminating them from playoff contention in front of a crowd of tens of people...weeks after they refused to be good neighbors by switching series. We put the final nail in the coffin that was their season. Now it's time for Verlander to toss the coffin out the back of the hearse into the garbage dump that is S. Oklahoma.
Just saw how many tickets were available for today's game and how much they're going for... granted, it's a weekday afternoon business fan's special, but... um, didn't we relocate a series to Tampa for the sake of their precious ticket sales? God damn the Rangers.
Quoted for freaking truth. You have to be a really crappy organization that, when given an opportunity to do good, you go out of your way to be assholes. Congratulations, your team not only sucks at baseball, but it sucks at life.
I bet that had they switched, given where they were in the standings back then, they would have not only had better attendance as well as more revenue from concessions, even though there was only 2 day notice from the hurricane.
Just goes to show the whole inconvenience to the ticket holders excuse was bs, Jon Daniels was just looking to take advantage of the situation to gain three extra home games and it completely blew up in his face.
Pretty sure it was likely both the Rangers not wanting to deal with people who already had paid for tickets as well as the wanting the three extra games. Granted, it seems other franchises have basically made the same choice as the Rangers (though just because other teams are jerks, doesn't excuse the behavior). I hope if the Astros are ever presented with the same problem, they make the right decision.
I'm most excited about the bats coming alive at the right time. I hope this momentum keeps up through the Boston series and into the playoffs.
It was equally awesome seeing Keuchel go out there and put together a solid performance while also watching Chris Sale get pummeled for 4 HRs. That son of a b**** is human after all!
There are tickets going for $2 for today's game. Goodness the way this has just been a disaster for Arlington gives me the giggles.
Oh yeah. I looked at tickets when I saw tickets available for $2, and there were lower level seats for under $10
This is pretty normal. You can get Yankees, Dodgers, and Rockies home game tickets today all for $2 too, and those teams are in the playoffs and 2 of those are night games.
