The horror. This is almost as bad as if it were during the season, or a more serious injury, or an injury to a more important player.

Just a bunch of butt hurt fans who are mad at Morey because Melo decided to cave. They'll get over it, hopefully once the season starts and they see just how good this team is.

He will be 35 in his last year on the contract, and that year is only guaranteed at $2.5m, fwiw.

I think the guy is concerned about the playoffs in that last season where he'll just barely be turning 36 at the very very tail end of the contract. Unfortunately he ignores the 4 full seasons he'll play before hitting Ace's magic age number.

He keeps saying 37. There's no 37. It's age 35 all through his last season, turning 36 in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

And Tucker can be cut at age 35 for relatively nothing, since he's only $2.5m guaranteed in the last year, if Ace is so worried. Which means he can be traded as an expiring after age 34, as a way to save $5.5m in cap space by the receiving them.

If you've seen him plenty you wouldn't be defending PJ Tucker. He got paid $18 million for being in the league for 10 years. Dude lucked out and got a great 4 year $32 million contract when he's past 32 years old. Which means, he doesn't have to do jack$hit, can rot on the bench, gets these minor injuries where he doesn't have to practice or prove anything to you or anyone else and he still would make out like a bandit.

We got him at the tail end of his career which means he will retire playing the bench for us. Also add in another 0 starts out of 328 games (or 290/746 with your math) and in the end he would still be considered a back up player.

Sorry he will be over 36 (or almost 37 as stated in my post) by the time we go to the finals during his last year of his contract. Does that make you feel better?

If we are going to the Finals, why would you care? You'll be a Tucker fan by then for sure. And he'll only be guaranteed the vet minimum in his last year, so he can be traded essentially as an expiring at age 34, if needed.

Almost 37 at age 36 and 1 month? Do you round up 36.1% 3F% to be 37%, too. And say someone is almost shooting 37%?

I can't think of a more perfect role player for this team. He is literally a top 10 defender in the NBA at worst, and he hits corner threes at a fantastic rate. He also brings all the intangibles and toughness that this team desperately needs.

Lol you make it sound like the MLE is so high when it just 8M a year, or pretty much what backup roleplayers make.

Also Lebron James is 32.75 yrs old and people have no issues paying him the max.

Jae Crowder bro. I would trade both Tucker and Ariza for Crowder.

the fact that ive seen him plenty IS the reason why im defending PJ.

but hey according to you we should of signed ruptured Achilles rudy gay at 31. but apparently your logic doesn't apply to him and his situation by far worse. you're all over the place.

Some of the posts in this thread are hilarious. And they’re from the same people who thought the sky was falling when we didn’t get Carmelo. It must be miserable as **** living with you guys.
