They might be Americans with the right to protest but they also have a job. What job going let you protest at work. When they in the public eye representing your brand that's not good. If they really wanted to protest and show people they would just not take the field and strike. Would hurt where it counted in thr pockets. But they don't care enough about the situation to make it effect themselves personally in their pockets too so as long as they pretend to be fighting for some rights that's all they care about.
This is a pretty idiotic suggestion. A strike would harm everyone involved - themselves, the team, the fans, the TV networks, the sponsors, etc. A peaceful 2 minute protest doesn't harm anyone, except for melting snowflakes. And what makes you think they're 'pretending' to care? Do you not think they (or their friends/family) faced some kind of racial injustice in their lives?
