Yeah, it was some good times. But this thread has served its purpose. We need Wade now

    This...

If melo can't take the pressure, what makes people think he can take the pressure against the warriors when him and Jim don't play smart defense and it's not their coaches style?

    Mentally weak.

Melo in the past 3 years couldn't make the playoffs in the East. He is an overglorified ISO version of Ryan Anderson

ya problem though is anderson can't play defense either and scores zero points in elimination games. and unlike melo, he also has an extensive injury history :X

Do I get partial insider status?

I was sure the deal would be done this weekend. I just got the team wrong and that's only because of Ryan Anderson's bricks and his contract

Perhaps, but I'm still not convinced. Have these players been to OKC? ****ing cheddars ranked in their newspaper's top 5 downtown spots to eat a few years ago.. I think out of their 3 buildings, one is a hotel, but none are residential.. so you can either live in a hotel or live in white suburbia hell in Nichols Hills/Edmond. Melo must have been beyond desperate.

Lol it certainly is a downgrade from NYC. Melo should have stayed firm.

He could always get a place in dallas, and fly up there in less than hour for the home games comon guys. or even houston. Im thinking hes got a place in h-town, hes gonna be in the south now so it will be easy to live anywhere near okc. After this year he could just opt out and be a free agent anyways, and sign with houston easy.

Yeah OKC is a shithole. Melo and PG3 will find out soon. No issues for WB since he is married....

I'm a huge melo fan but realistically at age 33 in his 15th year. The sum of his game dies not exceed or even equal what Ariza and Gordon combined bring.

Is melo better than those guys individually? I think so but not as much as 4-5 years ago.

The reality is that in year 15 history says melo doesn't have much left in the tank. He could be a huge liability on the court starting this season and Morey knew that and I'm sure that's a big part of why we never offered anything other than Ryan Anderson and fillers.

I love the self revelation of how much better off we are with an overpaid 3pt shooter than a hall of famer and Olympian gold metalist....

All while enabling a conference rival to add him instead ... oh and just might land another hall of famer , gold mentalist and multiple time champion as a result as well!

So glad we didn't break and give them an often injured 6th man or fading defensive specialist with a streaky shot in the last year of his contract. Boy tragedy averted!

Give me a break this is one of the greatest failures in Houston sports ever.

Regardless of how well we do. We screwed up a once in a generation Opportunity for super team and gave it on a silver platter to the man who was also given the MVP over our guy.

I'm sorry if you guys hate the negativity but this was something that could have and should have gone completely differently...

It's going to be hard to get over....
