Let me rephrase, it helps him with his base. We still have 3 plus years of him tearing us apart. There are also no guarantees that a decent candidate can be fielded to defeat him. I have no faith in our election process when it comes to producing good candidates. And you can be sure he will muddy the waters come election time, that seems to be the only thing he is good at.
Please do. The rest of us will happily enjoy our sports. In the long run, it would make tickets cheaper for fans as well.
I would love for Trump today to give an address from the White House around 12 o'clock in the afternoon. let's see how many sons of b****es tune into that. I would much rather watch him defend this beautiful country then waste my time watching a bunch of trash athletes.
Oh, you'll watch. You'll just pretend like you didn't by not posting about the game here. The amount of salty buttheart tears from the dey terk er jerb crew here is so awesome. The best salty buttheart tears. The best.
triggered snowflake yall! you are the poster who tells others to not complain about trump. to shut up and "mind their own business" and get on with their "shitty lives". you dont like when people criticize politicians...but here you are totally freaking out over a bunch of multi-millionaire athletes who dont have any effect on your life. your priorities are really warped. sad. nobody is forcing you to watch football. if you have a problem with it then dont watch...its simple.
Statement from the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, on behalf of owner Tom Benson, who is a former Naval officer: “Our organization takes great pride in equality and inclusion and find the comments by the President disappointing and inappropriate relative to our players on this issue. Tom Benson served in the military and continues to this day to support all military branches and feels strongly that we honor those men and women who defend our freedoms and our freedom of speech. He also believes that the very players that represent the Saints and Pelicans organizations should be allowed to share or express their feelings. We prefer to take this moment in time and work together, all of us, to stop the divisiveness. Our players and our organization serve the New Orleans community selflessly and do so without care of race, creed or sexual orientation and that makes us a better city and a better team. We believe strongly in honoring our flag and the national anthem and what it represents and we support our players. We all must strive to show that we are all Americans and continue to work towards equality for all. The NFL and NBA, perhaps more than any sports, have the power to bring communities together.”
I never thought the taking a knee was an effective protest and not something I would do. I always supported them having the right to do it, even if it wasn't how I would protest. There are reasons why I wouldn't have done it because it might offend the people who I wish to support and not in any way offend. However, when Donald Trump calls someone a Son-of-a-b**** for taking the knee, and saying they should be fired, it makes me much more favorable to the idea of taking a knee. He turned it into a bigger symbol than it was before.
Just when you don’t think Trump can say anything stupider than he already has...what’s wrong with this guy?
