I'm cool with him going to OKC, us, okc, spurs and cavs can compete with warriors won't a breeze for them this year, make the NBA more interesting
Time will tell whether if this was a good deal/no deal, as the season progresses It is probably on eric gordon to prove whether the trade was bad or not for the rockets at the time.
Lol why are people so upset? I mean Melo is not the player he once was, couldn't even lead NYC to the playoffs in the Leastern conference with a stud like Porzingis on the roster wtf. The only reason he would've been good is as the 4rth option on the Rox. OKC is the anti-GSW. GSW has tons of off the ball shooters, OKC has 3 ball hog mid range chuckers. I'm not scared of OKC at all. As for the Rox I think we should givr Anderson another chance. With Cp3 being the secondary option maybe Anderson blooms in a diminished role.
They feel fooled because everything or everyone was pointing towards Destination Houston.....but once that got dragged out, I knew something was going to happen that won't bode well.
Now if they did a Paul George when Durant was still there, that would be interesting against GSW. Plus defender Allstar Durant and Green are still the difference here with or without Car Melo.
As I suspected, the MEDIA is "all in" on OKC as the GSW challengers. Sorry Houston, you are replaced.
They are going to be a tough matchup for the Warriors- I guess you put Iggy on Paul, Klay on Westbrook, and Durant on Melo. If we're luckily, they draw each other in the second round. We NEED to get the second seed this year
As far as starters, I see Klay on Westbrook, Durant on PG13, Draymond on Melo, Curry on Roberson, and Zaza on Adams. Iggy, McCaw, Livingston, and Swaggy P (to some extent) are extra defensive luxuries off the bench to throw at OKC's big 3.
I avoided immediately reacting to this. Having relaxed a little, I have to say I'm still really salty that "fair market value" for Paul George and Carmelo Anthony is apparently Oladipo, Sabonis, Kanter and zero first round picks. However, Melo is not what he used to be; this does not do much more than put the Thunder more definitively into the West's top four (in the same way, Melo to Houston would have done little besides solidify the Rockets as #2).
Wow, never see this happening, OKC is legit now, they can take GS down if their big three all plays up to their reputation
