Maybe we should just get rid of the National Anthem at sporting events. Doubt that will happen though...IIRC the DoD pays good money to the NFL for that sort of spectacle. Or at least (in the NFL) change it so that the anthem is performed before the players come out of the locker room and onto the field. If we had a decent, non-petty POTUS and administration (regardless of party) that was wise enough to "stay in his or her lane", then I suspect that the vast majority of players, coaches and sports media journalists and personalities would have no problem "sticking to sports" both on air and on social media. But no...we have a bigoted narcissistic con artist that has the maturity and intellect of a 3rd grader. Not to mention a troll...I suspect part of the intent behind Trump's NFL and Steph Curry comments was to distract media and public attention away from the Russia thing...which was starting to heat back up in recent days. Anyway, I too expect to see many more players (and not just black players) kneeling tomorrow.
