    What is your reasoning for this? You really think CP3 came to the Rockets just to play with Melo?

    This has been my feeling and why I used the Verlander trade as a similar example. I got pissed in that deal and as it turned it Houston won the day. We had to expect Perry would start posturing to try to get Morey to sweeten the deal or risk OKC to beat us. In another post, I find it really hard to see Melo loving OKC after living in NY all of these years. Would he really waive his trade kicker for OKC?

    it was implied CP3 joined the Rockets since he believed Morey would get Melo also, so possibly yes.

    What if other teams hate the warriors so much that they are giving away their players to OKC? Possibly see OKC as a contender than us to beat the warriors?

    Too bad. Melo as a #1 guy wont' get you anywhere, but as a #3 guy? Who knows how the fit will work out but OKC looks poised to be the #2 team in the conference now.

    We really didn't need him anyway.
    He would have upset the flow of MDA's offense
    He would have fought with MDA
    He would be a sieve on defense

    OKC was the one team where it hurts the most. If he went to Portland or Cleveland, then no problem. OKC is a bad spot for us.

    I thought it was implied that CP3 joined the Rockets to play with Harden?

    Sure, Morey told him they'd get CP3, but remember when recruiting Iguodala, CP3 raved about the organization.

    I think Melo is the red herring, what CP3 likes is the aggressive nature of our GM to do whatever he can to make the team better.

    All I know is cp3 wants to win a championship badly.

    He came here because he thought it was the best chance of winning, that's not the case anymore.

    Months of waiting and the Rockets get nothing. OKC comes out of nowhere and gives Westbrook no help for the 2nd year in a row.
