I mean, u could make the argument that they would be, they'd at least be in the tier with us and San Antonio...I wouldn't feel confident about facing them in the playoffs at all if that team gelled

Perry deserves some credit for this. The assumption that Melo wouldn't never crack in his resolve seemed a bit optimistic. Waiting it out was definitely the best play. The Knicks will be better for it.

What if we gave the Knicks the rights to Sergio Llull or give a team like the Pelicans Llull for a 2019 1st in which Llull would have to come over next year

Gotta say, I am very surprised Melo opened up his list. I thought for sure with CP3/Morey the Rockets could work something to their favor. Maybe in some way they still are.

Rockets best hope is a 3 team trade where the 3rd Team Asset Package is better than Kanter+McDermott type package. Sad state of affairs that Kanter is valued more than Anderson just for the fact that Kanter's contract is "shorter." The Kanter package is the "lesser of two evils" package.

 

Another GM handing their best player to OKC for free. Amazing.
