Agree. I can't see anything Cleveland has to offer that's better. Since Melo has blinked and Daryl has done his damage control speech with Ryan, I'm starting to realize that we going into this season with this lineup. Morey's draft and pass tweet is more likely a comment toward trading for someone at the deadline. I'm not saying it won't work but if he fails to produce, then CP3 will be a 1 year rental.
Crowder is better than Kanter, come on now...better player, way better contract, i mean, it's not even close. Crowder also plays the 3 so he would be a perfect fit in NY to take Melo's spot.
I'm sick of this back and forth **** I'm ready to just move on and see if Ryno has a good year. On the other hand I still hope we can get Melo somehow without giving up much. Sorry guys I misplaced my bi-polar meds...
Crowder can't be traded until mid October and the Knicks and melo want this done in like the next 2 weeks.
Except Anderson actually fits in the league in 2017 doing the one thing he does well. Kanter is just a waste of space and minutes if you're trying to rebuild. But if they're both net negatives - don't take either and buyout.
We're talking about 4 weeks, if they can reach a deal around Crowder i'm not sure why waiting one month would be a deal breaker at this point. It would be done right for the start of the season. If waiting 4 weeks is required to get a good deal i think the Knicks are fine with that.
It's not about the player. It's about the contract. Kanter is owed less than Melo. Also, playing Anderson would be detrimental to the development of their best young player because they both can only play the same position. That's not so with Kanter.
If it's about the contract than you don't take either. If you don't want Anderson then you don't want Kanter - period.
