Morey didn't want to bid against himself.. by Melo adding teams he could still set parameters that the Knicks need to negotiate in good faith and give the Rockets a chance to counter. When they see that it's not that much out there for Melo then they'll probably want an unprotected first with something coming back from Pistons or Bucks.

If he adds Portland, it’s pretty much lights out on the rockets chances of getting Melo

A three team sending Jabari to the Knicks better than anything OKC or CLE can offer.

Cod confirmed we have a piece Milwaukee wants

I bet it's Gordon, they could really use his shooting and scoring, and his contract is good

I'd let him go but I'm also do not trust his body to stay healthy for another year

his injury history is a concern, but the main reason I don't want to let him go is because we don't have a replacement for him...we could replace someone like Ariza with Tucker and Moute

Cod needs to tell Milwaukee and New York that, apparently they don't have the same sources he does.

We can assume all we want, but this is not good and really disappointed...But I don't blame Melo whatsoever, he wants to start season knowing where he will playing and that doesn't involve Knicks...He needs to get settled in, etc. I said this yesterday, this came down to who gives in first, Knick or Carmelo...Looks like Melo has given in after given Houston a few MONTHS to make it happen..OKC and Cleveland can always also always get a 3rd team involved to help them...

Yes, a healthy warriors team is unbeatable...Without Melo it's going to be a very fun season, but forget about beating Warriors or championship...I just can't believe we don't have Melo, he is such a great fit and he looks sooo motivated this offseason...No matter how you look at it, he is on another level above injury prone E.G. And Ariza, wtf, Ariza..I'm just pissed, no way hell I let either one of those players get in the way of getting Melo..no freaking way..Or even a first freaking pick..We need to win now, CP3 ( if we even keep him) is not getting younger, who freaking cares about a 1st in 2020, our window for championship is now!!!!!!!

Maybe Melo added to his list to break the stalemate by upping the pressure on Houston to get the deal done, i.e. throw in their 2020 pick? This would make sense in that he only added two teams that can't or won't offer a better package. Something like Houston throws in the 2020 pick, Ryno and NGs to Milwaukee, and Parker and Monroe to NY.

I wouldn't blame him. Morey probably got way to confident and cocky about it as seen by Nene and other players acting like it was locked in

Throw in the 2020 first and say **** it. What's better? The 30th pick in the first round or a legit chance at a championship and bringing possibly the banana boat

Without Melo we most likely get blown out by warriors. If he goes to OKC that's another team that will most likely beat us and I still don't know if we are better than the spurs after the last embarrassment without kawhi

I'd Morey doesn't up the offer I see him in OKC

this whole thing semi ruined a very successful offseason.

We need to move Anderson by the deadline.. he'll fold in the playoffs again

T-mac also looked really motivated his last year here... He was in the "best" shape he has ever been his trainer said...

Do you even know if Knicks want Ariza or EG... Maybe they asked for both, what if they asked for Capela too.... What if they want two of those guys.. Because of rumors you think New York will take Ariza or Gordon but you don't really know... I'm sure Morey wants to make the team better... Let's see what Morey does to protect the current state of our team and improve it...

Makes the last bite bitter, but it was still a great off-season. Got a Top 10 player at PG. Future HOFer. So now ... a future HOF PG is on the court at all times. and both shoot lights out when playing together. Upgraded the bench. Another year for Capela to fill out.

It's been a great off-season. and still not done according to the boss.

People here were getting delusional like laker fans these past couple of months, thinking they would speak the trade in to existence.

You think only 2020 pick is holding this trade? I doubt it. if it really is then I would say give them 2020 pick because later who knows morey might find a way to get better pick back in the future via trade..
