So I do credit Morey for this persona of the Rockets org. They don't hide things from players. They let you know what there plan is and how they are going to do it. That piece on Iggy's free agency was riveting when discussing the Rockets. First class run business.

 

It's taken us 612 pages but it's finally starting to sink in for some of you that the Knicks simply do not want to trade Melo for Ryan Anderson and there isn't a third team out there who is crazy enough (or stupid) to help us unload Anderson while simultaneously handing us Melo on a silver plate. We also know that Morey isn't going to up the offer, either. Nor should he because Melo isn't "the missing piece to a championship formula" anyway, he's simply just another piece. Morey will wait for him to opt out at the end of the season before giving up any additional assets.

These things should have been common sense all along, but many of you let all these "insiders" troll the crap out of you just for kicks. I didn't want to be "that guy", so I let yall have your fun with this thread before being all debbie downer and **** but some of you need to wake up and come to terms with things, use common sense.

that will not do for me, We won a ton of games last season with Gordon, Ariza is also part of the defensive core. I don't like giving up them for Melo who's a huge gamble imo. There's a chance he will drag us down as well.

We can go to battle with what we have.

 

If we don't get Melo, we hold our Capela/Anderson and pick package for the next impact player down the road. I want Anthony, but we may get a younger core piece later on.

 

Are we really willing to give up Quarterman for Melo??

612 pages makes us want to conclude something but the only conclusion is that there's still a game of poker going on. No one except Mills can predict the outcome.

 

Carmelo Anthony...if you rearrange the letters it comes out as:

"Annoy thm Oracle"

This means the Rockets will acquire Melo and annoy them boys at the Oracle (Warriors)

To be fair though you have to assume Perry will almost 100% not trade Melo to Houston until at least December now unless we up the offer. Makes no sense to accept an offer that you wouldn't before training camp. I know we'd like to think everyone Knicks related is incompetent but Front Offices are much more careful now than they were a few years ago.

On the plus side, if my memory serves correctly when Melo was in Denver he was pretty stubborn on wanting to end up in NY and he got his wish.

Edit: one thing to add though is I don't know how December will make that much of a difference. If things are going well I don't see us parting ways with PJ. I don't think Luc changes much. Maybe Troy Williams shows enormous potential? Though don't think he'll get the playing time to do so

I'm not happy to see what's unfolding but not surprised. I was a tiny bit worried that we may end up folding and losing someone like EG but I don't even know anymore. I say I would hate that, but had Melo ended up in Portland, I feel I would have hated that more.

 

I hate when Ryan Anderson shoots a 3 then backs his way back down the court like of course it's going in.(i.e. S.Curry)Of course it raddles in and out.
