    Ryan Anderson is a true professional & will retire a Rocket confirmed.

    Q. When you have a player mentioned in rumors as one of your guys (Ryan Anderson, who has been mentioned as the necessary piece in a trade for Anthony) has been, do you talk to him about it, keep him informed?

    A. "Yeah, I talked to him (Wednesday) about it. Players get frustrated. It's rare for a GM to get frustrated because we have to deal with it all the time, but this one has been frustrating because it's lingering and not much is accurate out there."    ​

    Yeah ryan is cool, this whole situation must suck for him too to drag on. But he's got that big contract so I don't exactly feel sorry for him that much

    Doing the math, the only way it works to trade for Melo without including Ryan Anderson is of rockets include eric gordon and trevor ariza. You then also have to add Quarterman, Long, Onuaku, and Taylor. Of course you could add Capela but that is almost unthinkable. To support this, you'd have to be okay with this lineup with a top 8 of CP3, Melo, Harden, Anderson, Capela, Nena, Tucker, and Mbah a Moute. That's tough. Probably better team overall, but not as much better as they'd be WITH Ego and Ariza
