    Knicks basically threatening Melo to report to training camp by saying "he's a professional, he'll show up" after unprofessionally trashing him for full ******* year, which is what led him to wanting out in the first place, is really something.

    How is this Morey playing a master plan? He's squeezing Melo, his hopeful future player more than anything if he is actually able to put together a package and just holding off for a killer deal. If he can make a deal, and is holding off, he's putting Melo in a situation where he's going to start thinking about expanding his list or taking a pay cut to get a buyout. If Melo thinks Morey can make a deal but is playing hard ball that will only leave a poor taste in Melo's mouth as he is unnecessarily going to be dragged through the mud when Morey could have got him out beforehand.

    Could this get Morey to increase his offer? Maybe add a draft pick or another rotation player like Codman had mentioned?

    Did Carmelo ever express he was 'wounded' by all that went on last year & was more determined, if he had to come back here, to re-establish himself as a star?

    Won't get into how he felt. I will say Carmelo is a professional. He's a prideful guy. I expect him to be ready to play very good basketball when he returns.

    Lol the Knicks are 100% a trash organization, but they aren't trash for taking a deal they don't want.

    Anyways, it's becoming more and more obvious that the deal has been on the table and it's not changing. Just need melo to stay strong.

    If they want to call his bluff and pay him 50 mil+ over the next 2 years so be it

    If Morey getting the best deal is hurting Carmelo's feelings, as you suggest, then we don't want or need Carmelo on the Rockets. Talk about fragility.

    The next big question in this saga is what does Melo do? Does he play nice, burn it to the ground or something in-between?

    Regardless, the media seems to be painting the Knicks as the bad guys.

    As reports have confirmed already, they had a deal on the table where Portland would take Anderson. That's the whole issue now. But the idiot GM Perry came in and destroyed the deal just for the heck of it. Now we're forced to recreate a deal that THEY should've never took off the table

    Melo should understand that gutting the franchise to bring him in didn't work when he went to NY and should not be done now.
