    Carmelo's role? Same as always?

    Steve: Carmelo is gonna be fine with our team. Our chemistry will be fine. Players understand your name is thrown around in trade discussions. He's a pro. We've seen him numerous times this summer & talked to him. We'll do everything we can do bring this team together.

    Jeff: Players don't worry about trade talks. It doesn't affect their game. It's always out there. Trade talk isn't a big deal. Carmelo will be fine. One thing, as we move forward, he'll embrace it. All that other stuff will go to the side.

    Still want Carmelo playing 35 minutes & taking 20 shots?

    Jeff: Role won't change. We'll implement certain plays, defensive schemes he'll be asked to do. But if you think I'm not gonna start him, you're crazy. He's a great player, still is.

    What happened between July & now?

    We've been in contact with he & his reps. I won't get into weeds of the details about how far we were with any deal. If something made sense for him & the Knicks, we said we'd strongly consider it. As we sit here today, that did not happen yet.

    Lmao idk why ya people thought it was going to happen unless REAL sources says working on a trade or its going to happen. The Knicks have to pull the trigger not you lol. Its the Knicks of all things, It was so obvious unless Melo becomes a punk. The Knicks would trade him if the like an offer for their team and If Melo waive his trade clause. The Rockets deal havent been good enough or this deal would've been done.
