    That last line has me real concerned if we don't land Melo or anyone else of relative significance and also don't make the WCF. I could easily see CP potentially looking to sign elsewhere if all of that happens and a better option is available next offseason, granted I know we have the ability to offer more money + no state taxes. Either way, we'll still have Harden after this year, and that's a long ways away anyways so I guess I'll just enjoy the fact that this season is gonna be amazing to watch.

    How is he trolling?? The sale of the team is an ENORMOUS process that's incredibly time consuming, and takes a LOT of man hours to complete. There are all kinds of implications when a franchise is trying to complete a deal, and it's basically all hands on deck during that time frame. It wouldn't surprise me in the least that Alexander/Brown/Morey put the deal on hold temporarily so the sale to Fertitta could be finalized.

    Do you really believe a former football player as being an NBA Source? If he was a retired NBA player I would say he has some sources but what NBA sources would he be tied to?

    There is no guarantee that Carmelo was coming here. Chris is not a stupid guy. He is actually an extremely intelligent human. I don't think he is the type to relocate his whole family on a not set in stone thing.

    Im also sure the new owner wouldn't mind waiting a day, maybe 2 on a process that takes weeks, to trade for a piece to up your chances of winning a chip. More time in camp.

    Yup. It is not uncommon for companies to put a freeze on signing any significant business deals during a sale. For a multi-billion dollar transaction, a 4 - 8 week blackout on major transactions would not be uncommon at all. I've seen last minute business deals that were inconsistent with the long term vision of the new owners blow up sales before. Alexander isn't going to do anything to risk closing on his huge payday.

    Lmao. I don't know whether Marcellus Wiley's source is valid, but him being a football player has absolutely zero to do with my reasoning... why wouldn't he have a source. Players from other sports don't have connects? If random media guys can get connects I assure a former NFL player that works for espn get some

    Huh?? Elite athletes from all sports tend to have friends in common, or run in the same circles. In fact, Wiley plays in charity basketball tournaments all the time with current and former NBA players. If I'm not mistaken, he also owns a company that serves as a platform where professional athletes can publicize their businesses, charity work, and overall brands. Wiley is INCREDIBLY connected.....and that's without his ESPN contacts.

    Exactly my thought process...Melo is without question in touch with CP3/Harden ...So until Melo tells CP3 (Morey) that he legitimately would consider another team for sake of finally getting out of NY, Morey will stick to his guns...Real question is, who gives in firs, Melo or Knicks..not Rockets/Knicks...MY source (whom Clutch can have verify anytime) told me earlier in the week that Melo is 100% sticking to his guns with Rockets...I'm trying hard to get info, but it's hard as source is no longer with team but does practice/talk to Rockets very frequent...

    Exactly. And the fact that he doesn't need to claim a source to keep himself relevant makes me believe him even more.

    Having said that I feel like there are two sides to this story... there's the, "deals been done just waiting until ______" side and the, "wtf they haven't even been talking nothing is getting done" side. Somebody's lying... and neither side would surprise me
