    That's not a fair argument. The question should be what makes him legit?

    He came out and said he will be a rocket after it became obvious Rockets were chasing Melo. The most he knows is maybe a player on the team, but probably not even that, maybe a friend of a friend. And all that person could probably know is that Melo isn't waiving his NTC for anyone else which is also common knowledge. He just went on that and posted it on twitter either a) cuz if it sticks he can be credited for it and if it doesn't he simply claims well the deal was on the table and suppose to be done but Knicks changed their mind (which is a pretty fool proof plan for anyone to be a source) or b) he just got caught up with the hype and doesn't comprehend the complexity of an NBA trade like this

    Vouched that rumours are true, but they're still rumours. This is what I feel many (NOT ALL) people don't understand about my stance. I don't doubt both sides have tried. My lack of faith is in the actual trade. That aside, now that so much has been put out there, and the pressure of the situation, and the fact that we're talking about billion dollar organizations, as dumb as the Knicks have looked in the past, do you really think any info on this trade at this point is going to be leaked to a guy we've dubbed Potato Head??
